Les Canailles is a lovely French bistro located in the new HOMA, Hochelaga-Maisonneuve area, which is developing at a fast pace. This restaurant, where you can bring your own wine has put in place a popular new concept of open kitchen on the dining room. The super friendly service and the excellent French cuisine are much appreciated by the clientele. The menu is amazingly interesting and makes it difficult to choose. There is a great choice of fresh fishes and seafood. Recently opened by the same experienced and well-known team of the restaurants: Monsieur B, O Thym, Les Héritiers and L'Emporte-Pièce, this new restaurant has easily made its place in the area. Super beau Apportez votre vin dans Hochelaga! La serveuse était très sympathique, la cuisine vraiment de-li-cieuse! On a pris des huîtres, le profiteroles de foie gras & les pétoncles e chorizo poelés! Rien à redire! Le steak de ma mère était cuit à la perfection (elle l'aime très bien cuit 😅), & le tartare de boeuf du chum de ma soeur était exquis!
Le seul bémol était le niveau sonore... Les gens parlaient vraiment forts, mais j'imagine que c'est ce que ça fait, les gens qui apportent leur(s) propre(s) bouteille (s) de vin...
Le service était absolument incroyable du début à la fin. Le personnel était gentil, attentionné & nous a fait sentir les bienvenus. La nourriture était tout aussi exceptionnelle - tout était frais, savoureux & magnifiquement présenté. On voit vraiment qu'ils tiennent à la qualité. J'y retournerai certainement & je le recommande vivement à tout le monde !
J'y suis allée avec mon copain pour leur menu spécial du Jour de l'An & on a apporté nos bières. Le service était super professionnel, chaque plat était bon. On va certainement y retourner.
Service très attentionné. Repas extraordinaire. Premier essaie pour moi & non pour mes invités & je serai prêtes à revenir à Montréal pour ce resto. Merci pour cette belle soirée.
fairly owkey overall, but the place felt very noisy. The atmosphere was a bit chaotic & not very polished. That said, the experience wasn't bad enough to completely rule it out, & I would be open to giving it another chance.

Reservation pour le groupe de 18:30 le 17 Janvier. C'était vraiment le fun! Super accueillant! & les suivis suite à ma réservation était vraiment très appréciés! J'y retourne n'importe quand. La bouffe est vraiment bonne! Pour tous les prix ça vaut vraiment la peine! Tout le monde a adoré la salle & le personnel. Merciiii beaucoup!
Nous étions un groupe de 11 personnes ce soir & tout était absolument parfait.
Le service était extraordinaire : attentionné, fluide, souriant, sans jamais être envahissant.
La bouffe était sublime, savoureuse, parfaitement exécutée, chaque plat était un vrai plaisir.
Une ambiance agréable, une équipe professionnelle & une expérience sans faute.

We visited Canailles in Hochelaga (Montreal, QC) as part of the'MONTRÉAL À TABLE' event, & it was a fantastic experience. This'apportez votre vin' (BYOB) bistro has a wonderfully lively & cozy atmosphere, perfect for a night out.
The food was the star. We started with the oysters, which were absolutely delicious & incredibly fresh. For the main, the porc (pork) was cooked beautifully, proving the kitchen's skill with classic French techniques. We finished the meal with a wonderful selection of cheeses from Quebec-a perfect end to the night.
The service was friendly & efficient, especially given how busy it was for the event. For a high-quality, creative meal where you can bring your own wine, Canailles is a top-tier choice in Hochelaga. Highly recommended!
Nous sommes allé dans le cadre de MTL à table avec un trois service à 75$. Le menu était alléchant. L'exécution & la présentation pas tout à fait réussite & les portions des plats principaux étaient assez petite. J'ai dû renvoyer mon poisson qui manquait de cuisson. On m'a redonné la même pièce dans une nouvelle assiette qui je soupçonne avait fait un tour au micro-ondes (peut être au four). La salle a manger étant assez petite & bruyante, il n'était pas facile d'avoir une conversation avec nos convives. Le service était correct.
We were three people & tried the Montreal à Table menu. Service was good. The first course was tasty, but the Lobster Bisque would have been better with croutons. The Duck Breast portion in the second course felt small, the Braised Pork Cheek lacked presentation, & the cod seemed pre-prepared & reheated, with an odd texture & no sign of searing. The desserts were very good. Cozy atmosphere, but a bit loud.
