Unfortunately, the European experience can literally stay there. The employees seem to have forgotten what courtesy means.

We entered Place Longueuil sometime between 9 & 10 AM & saw someone opening the door of the café, entering, & then closing the door behind her. We thought the café might already be opening & that the door was simply being closed to keep the AC inside.

So we opened the door & tried to enter. It was then that we realized she was an employee, & she told us,'We're closed. If we were open, the doors would be open.'

Okay, you may have won a joke, but you definitely lost a potential customer.

We were planning to have a morning coffee in what we hoped would be an authentic European-style café. Instead, we were met with an unnecessarily rude & unwelcoming attitude.

Thank you, though, because you made us find another place that was much better & actually welcoming to customers.

First impressions matter, & unfortunately, ours was terrible.

Quel bel endroit pour prendre une pause. L'ambiance est vraiment chaleureuse avec cette petite lampe posée sur la table qui crée une atmosphère si paisible.

J'ai été impressionné par la vitrine qui présente un choix varié de viennoiseries. Les croissants aux amandes avaient l'air particulièrement frais & appétissants. C'est l'endroit parfait pour déguster un bon café dans le calme. Une découverte très agréable à Longueuil.

Stopped to work on my laptop for a bit, grabbed a croissant & a london fog, it was delicious. Very calm atmosphere during my stay. I recommend it.
