I would like to express my frustration regarding the handling of my Easter order. I placed my order in advance for paska & meat products with delivery before the holiday. Throughout the entire week, I called multiple times to confirm details, & at no point was I informed of any potential issues with the delivery. Only on Friday was I suddenly told that delivery would not be possible because I supposedly live too far away. At the same time, I was promised that they would'figure something out' & resolve the situation. However, on Saturday, right before the holiday, a completely different reason appeared - the order amount was allegedly too low. I find this behavior completely unprofessional. You delayed until the very last moment, leaving me with no opportunity to order everything I needed elsewhere. As a result - a ruined mood & disrupted holiday preparations. UPDATE: Your response, unfortunately, has only increased my frustration, as it is misleading & significantly distorts the facts. I would like to clearly outline what actually happened. When I first placed the order, I did intend to include a cottage cheese paska, but I was immediately informed that it was not being made this year. After that, my order was accepted in full, & the discussion was specifically about delivery. Throughout the week, I called several times (3-4 times) because I received no follow-up. Not once was I informed about any issues - not regarding the order amount, delivery, or distance. On the contrary, during my last call on Friday, I was reassured that everything possible would be done to arrange the delivery. & only on Saturday, right before the holiday, new reasons suddenly appeared - first the distance, then the order amount. This sudden change of explanations at the last moment is what is most concerning. If I had been honestly informed from the beginning that delivery was not possible, I would have had the chance to order everything I needed elsewhere. Instead, the situation was dragged out until the very last moment, & now your response presents a version of events that does not reflect reality & appears to be an attempt to justify the situation after the fact. This is exactly what unprofessionalism looks like. I would also like to note that similar situations have occurred before. Last year, my order was only delivered close to midnight after repeated assurances throughout the day that it was'on the way.' This can hardly be considered professional either. Finally, I would like to point out that I have every right to leave a review based on my own experience. The fact that you mention the absence of a'positive comment' is inappropriate & only reinforces the impression of unprofessional communication. The situation this year - where I was effectively left without my order right before the holiday, followed by inconsistent explanations - appears, at the very least, non-transparent & raises serious concerns about how your business is managed.
None of the three delivery options you are now lying about in your response were ever offered to me at any point!!!I would not recommend you under any circumstances.
Je souhaite exprimer mon mécontentement concernant ma commande de Pâques. J'ai commandé à l'avance avec livraison, & malgré plusieurs appels durant la semaine, aucun problème ne m'a été signalé. Au contraire, vendredi on m'a assuré que tout serait réglé.
Ce n'est que samedi, à la veille de la fête, que différentes raisons ont été avancées (distance, puis montant). Ce changement de version à la dernière minute est inacceptable.

On google it shows open, we drove 30 mins to reach there only to find that it's closed. When I called the girl said they only open if you make a reservation first. I don't know how their food is, so cannot guide you on that. But if you're planning to go there make sure you call them & ask if they'll serve.

Nous avons conduit de Gatineau à Laval pour aller à ce restaurant, car c'était le restaurant Ukrainien le plus prêt. Cela valait la peine, car nous avons pu goûter au Borsch, Poulet de Kyiv, & salo. La nouriture était excelente & le server très amical & explicait en détail les items du menu.
Délicieux repas ukrainien! Nous avons adoré le borscht, les pierogies & les crêpes de pommes de terre, entre autres. Service impeccable. Nous y retournerons assurément!
Delighted to have a Ukrainian restaurant in Montreal Taste of Ukraine plate has borscht , salo & varenky . It was the right amount of food & lots of dill for flavour just like baba . Had the cherry varenky & Kyiv torte
I had a wonderful experience at Leopolis! The lively atmosphere with live music created a fantastic vibe. The Ukrainian dishes were delicious & truly authentic. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy great food & a vibrant ambiance!
Très bon service de la part du serveur(que ça soit des blagues ou des commentaires drôles), la nourriture était très semblable à celle de la cuisine ukrainienne & borsh était incroyable comme l'entrée.
Food is far from traditional Ukrainian: borsch from the can,frozen varenyky of medium grade, tea for 5 $, beer 250ml 8$, uzvar -4$( though in the menu 3$), potato pancakes underdone & served with disgusting mushroom sauce instead of sour-cream mentioned in the menu...etc. Overall we spent more than 150 $ for 2 persons supper of 3 dishes & concert (30$ a ticket) , but at the end they charged us 62$ for taxes & service fees! You could have a full meal in other places for this price! Never coming back again, plus it's so far we had to drive through Laval to get there on time.
I've had a great & a not so great experience. We celebrated a birthday here & it was absolutely amazing. Food was great, really tasty, well presented. We were very impressed. & i would totally recomend. Now the less great experience was ordering this through uber eats. The prices are really expensive. 12$ for a tiny cup of Borscht. See picture. (Nespresso pod & chips bag for size comparison) 15$ for 3 cheese fritters (on the uber eats picture there's 4...) All to say, if this food matched the quality of what we had in the restaurant i would put 5 stars. But greasy cheese fritters (сирники). Borscht that has more potatoes then anything else. Was just disapointint. & i hope i was simply unlucky... but i wanted my boyfriend to try authentic ukrainian cuisine on a rainy day.
I usually avoid writing bad reviews but I would want people to avoid a similar situation. It was the longest I've ever waited for everything in the restaurant. We started off with drinks & food. It took us 40 minutes at least to get the drinks. A simple pint & a shot, mind you. There was a concert that day. So my friend nicely asked one of the servers if we could at least get something like our drinks because we've been waiting for 40 minutes & he replied asking if we came here for the restaurant or the concert in a confrontational way? Which didn't make sense because 1) the concert didn't even begin yet & 2) we are literally in a restaurant. Why would we expect to wait an hour for our drinks because a band will play soon? The place was not even half full & every single thing we had to wait for at least 30 minutes. It almost felt like a miracle getting anything because at that point I kept assuming they forgot us. So we asked for the bills & I was telling myself it's fine, whatever, just not gonna go back there, we ended up waiting another hour just for the bills. The restaurant was near empty, it seemed like they were closing up & still no one came to get our bills. We got up to try to get their attention & that's when they came with the bill & included themselves a 15% tip, because no way anyone would tip after waiting for what is literally a combined time of over 2 hours. No one seems apologetic or in a rush in any way. Hence the bad review. It just seems like they don't care.
Went with my boyfriend & they were very welcoming & conversed in English, French, & Ukrainian. The prices were fair & the hospitality was amazing. They were very passionate in representing the authentic taste of Ukraine while putting a gourmet spin on it. We had the taste of Ukraine dish & the holuptsi. It was a 10/10 & reminded me of my Ukrainian grandmother's cooking :) Slava Ukraini 💙💛

I had a delightful experience at Leopolis restaurant. Despite the bustling crowd, the service was remarkably swift. Witnessing a Ukrainian wedding celebration added a festive touch to the atmosphere. The "Taste of Ukraine" dish, featuring borscht & dumplings, was a culinary highlight. The steak & schnitzel with peasant-style potatoes were delicious, & the presentation of all dishes was impeccable. The restaurant's elegant design & impeccable cleanliness further enhanced the overall experience. Highly recommend Leopolis for a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Ukrainian cuisine.

Check this place out! Great service, & the food is so fresh & delicious. Very tasty - a cuisine you can't find everywhere, & it's homemade. Would definitely recommend. We ordered dumplings, potato pancakes, cabbage rolls, borscht, & the potato balls with beef. We also had shots that looked like the flag. Enjoy!
