Had breakfast with friends. There was a 20 minutes wait so they offered us coffee outside which was nice. Had a nice table. Great portions & very tasty. Friendly staff. Will go again.
We walked by looking for a late breakfast, but it was already close to lunch & they were starting to line up-always a good sign. We came back a little later & managed to get a table, & I'm glad we did.
Each of us ordered something different & every plate hit the mark. The pain doré was délicieux, the Béné Olé (their take on a poutine-style bénédictine) was rich & perfectly done, & I had La Brandouille-a mix of salad, scrambled eggs with kimchi, & a few other tasty surprises I couldn't quite name but loved anyway. It came with their house bread, a side of pommes de terre, & of course a little mayo, because we're in Quebec.
Absolutely great meal, great company, & a moment that felt very local. We even shared a long table with what looked like three generations-a daughter, mother, & grandmother. We didn't talk much, just exchanged a friendly salut at the end, but somehow it felt like we were all sharing something familiar. A really special neighborhood spot.
Great breakfast spot with a welcoming atmosphere & friendly staff. The food was great & the vibe was enjoyable. The only downside was the long wait-almost an hour for my meal-which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. Worth a visit, but be prepared to wait during busy times! :)
The food here was delicious. We had the brioche forestiere & kimchi breakfast sandwich. Both these dishes blew us away. The caramelised onion jam on the brioche forestiere definitely left an impression. The smoothie with maple syrup was a perfect finish.
First time here , we came by car so parking was a bit tricky . Anyhow , the breakfast was delicious , I had the pulled pork benedict & it was totally worth it. Girlfriend had a basic eggs/bacon breakfast & it was tasty as well. Apparently ,everything is homemade here . We will definitely be back
