Virunga Restaurant is the story of two women passionate about African culture, who invite you to discover the gastronomic richness of this continent, which is so dear to them.

Through revisited traditional recipes, the restaurant celebrates the authentic flavors of sub-Saharan Africa, while showcasing local Quebec products.

Both simple and creative, this cuisine demonstrates, above all, a respect for ingredients and gastronomy.

Excellent service du début à la fin. Nous avons eu du mal avec un des plats principaux & ils n'ont rien dit, ont pris une nouvelle commande & l'ont ramené rapidement. On a beaucoup aimé les choix offerts sur le menu, & nos assiettes étaient délicieuses - tout comme les drinks. Très belle découverte! Bon rapport qualité-prix pour l'expérience & le lieu intime.

We had a very lovely meal. I should've asked the server to explain what we ordering so I wouldn't be surprised at the "format" of the dish. For example, I didn't realize that the appetizer was going to be a twist on poutine. If I had known, I might have ordered something else. I was also expecting the guinea fowl to be a whole thigh, & not mashed into the shape of a spring roll. It was still very good, but I didn't really want reconstituted meal. it would've been nice if the server had provided a voluntary explanation or "warning" of what I was ordering, ie. can I explain how the guinea fowl is prepared? it would've been more appreciated.
