Virunga Restaurant is the story of two women passionate about African culture, who invite you to discover the gastronomic richness of this continent, which is so dear to them.

Through revisited traditional recipes, the restaurant celebrates the authentic flavors of sub-Saharan Africa, while showcasing local Quebec products.

Both simple and creative, this cuisine demonstrates, above all, a respect for ingredients and gastronomy.

I had two nights in Montreal only, & after diner here on night 1, there was no question I'd be back for the second night as well. This place is fantastic! Not to be missed.

Excellent! Nous avons adoré notre soirée, les plats sont savoureux, très bons cocktails, l'ambiance ultra-chaleureuse, le service, la musique... Tout contribue à une superbe expérience gastronomique africaine. On y retourne c'est certain!

Wonderful meal. The shrimp appetizer, the goal & the peanut chicken mains were standouts. The very kind staff also verbally walked us through the menu, which was in French (& we do not speak French). Really glad we came.

Outstanding! In a family run, comfortable, casual, & cozy restaurant, we had a lovely meal. The Pan-African influenced food was heady, but well balanced, beautiful, & deeply satisfying. The service was warm & gracious. I would recommend this restaurant to both locals & tourists.

Nourriture parfaite, service parfait & soirée parfaite. Je recommande fortement. Le restaurant peut même accommoder les vegans ( je suggère toutefois de toujours appeler avant pour vérifier avec eux).

Super belle expérience!

Belle ambiance, belle musique, les plats succulents, le cocktail généreuse avec l'alcool, les staffs bien formés & très polie. On voit que le restaurant est décoré au détail près, de même que les plats!

Il y a longtemps où je n'ai pas été dans une place dont j'aurais la note parfaite!

Ambiance fort sympathique: une petite salle confortable & joliment décorée, pour une fois on n'avait pas froid dans un resto & on pouvait se parler (la musique n'était pas trop forte). Le service est attentionné, le menu offre un choix varié qui permet d'accommoder différentes restrictions alimentaires, des plats sont savoureux & bien exécutes. Une excellente sélection de vins Sud-Africain. On était un groupe de 7, & tout le monde était ravi. On y retourne avec plaisir.

Haute gastronomie africaine. Cuisine typique avec légumes & épices dont nous ne connaissions pas le nom, mais qu'on a eu beaucoup de plaisir à découvrir. Le poulet de Cornouailles était excellent & le ragoût de chèvre aussi. Je recommande ce petit restaurant sympatique avec un excellent service à tous les aventuriers.

Décor exotique & raffiné. On est bien accueillie. Nos plats étaient délicieux! La carte des vins mise sur les vins africains. J'ai fait 2 belles découvertes, un verre d'un vin d'importation & un autre de la SAQ. Proprio/serveuse hyper sympathique!

Super beau décor. Ambiance cosy, chaleureuse !
Un très bel accueil de la part de Zoya. Une serveuse très aimable & à disposition.
Un menu assez diversifié. Si vous aimez pimenté, c'est une bonne place. Les plats sont supers délicieux, savoureux, on sent bien les épices. Seul bémol, la longue attente pour notre groupe de 6 filles, soit 3h pour un souper. Très belle expérience au Virunga
