Virunga Restaurant is the story of two women passionate about African culture, who invite you to discover the gastronomic richness of this continent, which is so dear to them.

Through revisited traditional recipes, the restaurant celebrates the authentic flavors of sub-Saharan Africa, while showcasing local Quebec products.

Both simple and creative, this cuisine demonstrates, above all, a respect for ingredients and gastronomy.

The best shrimp I've ever put in my mouth. Beautiful flavours. Front of house needs work. Multiple times our empty plates were left on the table. It took 20 minutes to catch an eye in order to get the bill?

If you are in a rush, not great. If you have time to enjoy, & we did, it is beautiful.

Belle découverte pour moi! Les plats sont goûteux & savoureux. Le mélanges des saveurs est harmonieux & c'est pratiquement un tour du monde en bouche. Mention spéciale à Zoya qui offre un service impeccable & qui prends le temps de partager sa passion.

The food & service was good! Only downside was the gentleman who was hanging our at a table on his MacBook Air in my field of vision...a good restaurant is not a cafe so I found it distracting & not a good atmosphere for fine dining. When we asked about it, we were told he is "family". If that is true, he should find the nearest Second Cup & spend his time writing there rather than hanging out at a table on his laptop while patrons are trying to enjoy a romantic evening.
