Virunga Restaurant is the story of two women passionate about African culture, who invite you to discover the gastronomic richness of this continent, which is so dear to them.

Through revisited traditional recipes, the restaurant celebrates the authentic flavors of sub-Saharan Africa, while showcasing local Quebec products.

Both simple and creative, this cuisine demonstrates, above all, a respect for ingredients and gastronomy.

Went in the context of MTL à table for a friend's birthday & can say the following:
1. Very good service
2. Cosy smart casual atmosphere (would be perfect for a date)
3. Exceptional dining
4. Extremely wide range of gluten-friendly options (the only option not GF on the table d'hôte was the plantain chocolate-chip cake)

Les mets ont un très bon goût exotique & de fraîcheurs . Par contre, le service est très lent un un peu froid . A notre arrivée à 18h30 le vendredi il ne restait plus de veau, ce qui est un peu curieux en plein événement !

Fine cuisine Africaine. Belle présentation des plats qui fusionnent produits locaux & Africains. Service personnalisé & courtois. Si vous aimez moins les plats "relevés", demandez aux personnels de vous guider.

C'était très bon ! très beau petit restaurant causy & sympathique !
Le service était super sauf un peu long pour le repas principal (entre l'entrée & le repas principal)

Gracieux, gouteux, hors du commun. Superbe service. Seul b-mol? Le vin est un peu cher. Les assiettes sont par contre très raisonables.

Une découverte qui vaut vraiment la peine! L'ambiance & le décor est chaleureux, le service impeccable, & sans oublier la nourriture! Un vrai délice. Les arômes qui imprègnent le restaurant & les plats, la beauté des assiettes... le goût!

This place is amazing - small, intimate, with beautiful decor. The service is wonderful, everyone was kind & attentive.
The food was simply incredible! It was so delicious that I asked to speak to the chef so I could compliment her. I will go there any time I'm in Montreal.

Franchement: une superbe expérience! On a adoré! & pourtant on est difficiles sur la bouffe & les restos. Mais là, c'était super, rien à dire. Le service était impeccable, attentionné & propre. & les plats étaient très savoureux & surtout très copieux!!
Une très belle découverte pour notre part, merci à Zoya & Maria d'avoir monté ce beau petit bijou!

Tout etait parfait de l'accueil au contenu des assiettes. Les mets sont d'une grande saveur. Nous vous conseillons ce petit merlot rouge d'Afrique du Sud.
