Excellent East Indian food. We had the lamb chops, butter chicken, okra, naan bread, & gulam jamun for dessert. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.
Awesome upscale Indian restaurant in Montreal downtown. Must try their thali. Cocktails are sweet & average but food tastes great! Tried their saag paneer, bhuna lamb & garlic naan, authentic Indian preparation.
We ordered dal tadka, cauliflower , raita, naans, butter chicken for dinner. The delivery was on time. Serving size was small.Dal tadka was too spicy, butter chicken was over priced & bland. Curd was sour. Less salt in gobhi masala. We found it over priced
One of my fav restaurants in Montreal. Second time in two years, & everything was amazing, again. Portions are quite big, so, you can share one main dish & order couple of appetizers & garlic naan for sure :) Waitresses are also kind & friendly.
This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants in downtown Montreal. I haven't been here in a while & was in the mood for Indian food. Reservation was easy via google. You get a message 2 hours before your booking to confirm or cancel your reservation which is cool. Don't be fooled by the look of the place (needs a refreshment), the food is amazing. Their mango lasse is probably the best in town & so is their garlic naan, always fresh & out of the oven. I tried their chicken kebab appetizer for the first time & it was delicious 😋 It was tender & had the right amount of spice for most people. I would've liked it a bit more spicy but I'm the exception rather than the rule 😁 If you like fish don't miss their Salmon Tikka, it's my favorite dish, perfectly cooked & spiced. I've had the chicken tikka masala & lamb biryani here before & they were amazing. This time around they were both good but different. I don't know if the recipe was changed. It was well cooked & was good but not what I was looking for I guess. I was full so didn't get my favorite dessert, Ras Malai. You should definitely try it. Instead, I had chai latte which was heavy but really good. I needed my nap at that time, the postprandial coma was kicking in 😂😂 Overall, it was a good experience as always. Highly recommended.
Very average food, or should I say below average? Well let's go with'Below Average'. We tried garlic shrimp, chicken malai Tikka, butter chicken, chicken curry & veg biryani. Supposed to be'Cheese Naan' was actually'Paneer naan'. The only item we liked & enjoyed is'Gulab Jamun'. Must try. Nothing significantly bad, but definitely the taste didn't live up to the hype. Had to wait for more than 1.5 hr on a Saturday evening. Will definitely recommend a reservation. Not worth it. Disappointed. Do not recommend it to someone with taste buds for authentic Indian food. Difficult to find parking. Has nothing to do with the restaurant though. Plan accordingly.
great naan bread & great butter chicken!! the staff are so sweet & the food is amazing!! i come & buy their fresh naan bread every week! totally worth it. thank you guys for the great work!
The service is great, & the food is good. Although you won't expect the hottest to be as reflective, it was still excellent quality. The mint naan was also an eye opener that I haven't tried before. Their assorted fried vegetable platter was also not too greasy as some samosas go.

Fantastic food, but won't go back! So here is the reason, I went to this restaurant as a planed outing with a bunch of coworkers to celebrate a holiday in India which my coworkers were missing while being in Canada. It was also a discovery meal to teach those of us unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. We were a large group, over 12 of us. The food was great, the garlic Naan was amazing! We spent approximately 2 hours at the restaurant & were raving about the experience. That is, until the bill came. We knew this evening wouldn't be cheap & when the bill came & it was nearly 700$, we weren't surprised. We asked for an equal split & were happy to all add gratuity. The restaurant brought out several de it machines to speed up payments, which we appreciated. However the last payment being made, the waiter was apparently unhappy with the amount of his gratuity & took it upon himself to throw the receipt in my coworker's face & berated her for the tip amount. This was the last possible minute of the meal experience & this waiter completely ruined an evening out with my coworkers. I have sat on my thumbs & waited a couple weeks to write my review to allow my anger to pass & so I could write more factually than emotionally. We called the manager over, made the situation clear & he said he would speak to his employees about this. I was quite dissatisfied with his response & his laidback attitude . He made no offer to have us back or offer a discount on the 700$ meal we just had. If he had offered us even an order of Naan to go it would have been something. A very sad end to what was a wonderful meal experience. I won't go back & will bring our work events elsewhere in future.
The vibe was great & food was delicious as well. Over 40 years of service. We ordered lamb chops, Naan, paneer masala, chicken Tikka tandoori. Lamb chops were amazingly marinated. Chicken was juicy & cooked to perfection. Naan was soft & buttery as well. BUT the paneer wasn't that good. Do book a reservation as it's always packed. The place was little cramped & the spicy is not spicy at all.

We went this weekend to the restaurant. Got chaat papri was 3/5. Was not upto the mark. Got daal makhni, raita, tandoori roti & naan. Daal makhni was good. Naan was not heated properly. The corners were not properly made. The ambiance is great & the customer service was excellent. Need to work on food3/5
It is a pretty restaurant but a bit expensive for what it is. I feel that portions are small & it is a decent restaurant. It has various choices. The naan is so awesome tho. Got a bottle of alcohol & service was really good
This is my second visit to this place but this time with family. We did the prior reservation which is must.
You can have fine dining experience at this place. The owner started the place 35 years ago & chef is working for last 30 years. He ensure that the guest are well taken care of.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Montreal so it is very busy. Make sure to have reservations before going. The staff is very helpful & give us the place without reservations. It was full on Tuesday evening so you can imagine weekends.
Had a dinner with local Montreal friend at this place. Here is the food list:
The place is fully accessible & nicely decorated. You will feel Indian touch everywhere which is superb.
Staff is superb & some of them working at this place for 36 years (restaurant is 37 years old) so big congratulations to the owner to build an amazing place.
