✨ Authentic South Indian Street Food Experience in Montreal ✨

💵 Cost: Mid-range
A fantastic South Indian snack bar in Montreal specializing in traditional dishes & street food-inspired flavors. This spot keeps things simple but delivers big on taste. The menu focuses on flavorful Indian classics, perfect for anyone looking to explore South Indian cuisine beyond the usual options.
I tried the Chili Paneer & Chicken 65, & both were excellent. The Chili Paneer had a great balance of spice, sweetness, & savory flavors, with crispy fried paneer tossed with green peppers, red onions, & a peppery soy-based sauce. The Chicken 65 was crispy, tender, & packed with flavor-apparently inspired by a recipe from the Indian army.
Service was quick & friendly, & we had no wait around 7PM on a Saturday. A great casual spot for a flavorful Indian meal in Montreal.

We love this place! We've visited the downtown location before, but recently tried the Rue Belanger location, & the food was just as good. We ordered the Dahi Batata Puri, Masala Dosa & Pav Bhaji. All were excellent, at par (maybe even better) than what you would find in the best Indian street food joints. The service was exceptional - we ordered a chai which had a slightly bitter aftertaste, but when we informed the server she immediately offered to take it off the tab & even gave us some delicious cardamom cashew cookies to take home instead. The location has a small inside seating area with very cute interiors, & lots of outdoor tables.
One note of caution - the pav bhaji is quite spicy. This is very authentic & absolutely delicious, but it made me break out into a sweat (& I have a moderate spice tolerance). I would totally order it again!
Had a wonderful experience here! We ordered the pav bhaji & masala dosa, & both were absolutely delicious. The pav bhaji was rich, flavorful, & perfectly spiced, with soft buttery pav that complemented it so well. The masala dosa was crisp, fresh, & generously filled with a tasty potato masala.
Everything tasted authentic & freshly made. The service was great, & the overall atmosphere was warm & welcoming. Definitely a place worth visiting again. Highly recommend!
food is excellent! Incredible taste! Superior quality & an authentic Indian touch
La nourriture est excellente ! Un goût incroyable ! Une qualité supérieure & une touche indienne authentique.
Honestly they serve the best authentic Indian street food outside of India. We had vada pav, masala dosa & pav bhaji. Everything was fresh & full of flavour.
We really enjoyed our meal here. Friends from India said it was the most authentic food they have found outside of India! Prices were very reasonable. Lots of small & large, veg & non-veg options to choose from. Try it!
The restaurant itself is very cramped & more or less clean. The music is way too loud, we could barely hear ourselves talking.
The masala dosa was excellent. I wasn't too crazy about the chutneys that came with it. But the dosa itself & the filling were really good.
The chili paneer was ok. With the addition of soy sauce, not sure how authentic that was.
The main disappointment was that the food was not spicy enough. It was just barely spicy, as if to accommodate western palates.
Le Super Qualité offers one of the closest experiences to authentic Indian street food in Montreal. Both the vegetarian & non-vegetarian options are excellent, complemented by a great selection of drinks. Highly recommended!
Reallyyyyyy good authentic Indian food! The only issue is extremely slow service !!
