I was honestly shocked by my experience here. My mother & I each ordered a simple omelette with a side of meat - she chose bacon & I chose sausages - nothing out of the ordinary for a basic breakfast.
When the bill came, I was surprised to see that the meats were charged separately on top of the omelettes. Since when does a breakfast plate not include a choice of meat & potatoes? An omelette uses the same eggs as a regular breakfast… charging everything à la carte like this feels excessive & misleading.
To make matters worse, the total came to $57.20 for two basic breakfast plates, & that's not even including anything extravagant. I also ordered a freshly squeezed orange juice, which was priced at $6.95 - again, unusually high for what it is.
Overall, it feels outlandish to be charged separately for every single item on what should be a standard breakfast plate. Definitely not the kind of value or transparency you expect when going out for something so simple.
A last minute decision to drop in for a late breakfast wasn't disappointing. The eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious...so much fresh fruit, hollandaise sauce, & homemade roasted potatoes. The two poached eggs were done to perfection. & my coffee was automatically topped off without my having to ask. Friendly staff, no blaring music!
They'll be seeing me again for sure.
Very disappointing experience.
This restaurant charges an extra $4 if you share any food with your 4?year?old, even a bite. I've never seen anything so unfriendly to families. What 4?year?old finishes a full restaurant meal on their own? It felt like a deliberate way to squeeze more money out of customers instead of offering real hospitality.
The service from our waitress was slow & dismissive, the food was mediocre, & my daughter ended up sick later that night, which makes me question the freshness. I don't mind paying for extra food, but I'm not going to be tricked into spending extra for basic eggs & potatoes ( & same portion so not getting extra food).
Deceptive policy, poor service, & subpar food. Definitely not a place that values its customers. Spend your money elsewhere!!
Best eggs Benedict I have ever had. They actually serve a real side of fresh fruit salad, not just a garnish. Everything was great & the service was excellent. Highly recommend.
I've been eating here for years & I have nothing bad to say about it. The service is always good, the environment is clean, tidy & well maintained, & the food is excellent. It's reasonably priced & one of the few places on the West Island where I can take my family for a meal without breaking the bank.
It's great if you want to go early for coffee, eggs & a newspapers or later on for a big family brunch. There's plenty of free parking outside & the high ceilings make it feel airy & spacious inside.
This is one of my favourite breakfast/brunch spots in the area, & I strongly recommend it if you're looking for a good meal at a good price, served with a smile.
Le quartier never fails to impress me for a perfect, good portion, fairly priced breakfast. I have the Canadian eggs Benedict & it was super good, there was so much hollandaise sauce & the best portion of fruits as well. The coffee is great & our waiter Chris was very pleasant. This place is a West Island gem.
Excellent food, friendly staff, they stopped serving the huge fruit salad with the eggs 🙁 you have to order the fruit salad apart however it's very fresh.
Wonderful eggs Benedict. A bit tight with seating arrangement. Had a Neighbor stare at my meal the whole time! He was all but 3.5 feet away! Felt kinda weird. I guess this is more common for restos off NotreDame but was surprised to get such seating in west island! Service is a bit overstretched & coffee requests was slow. Other than that, food is good.
Very nice place. Bilingual staff , amazing food. I like my eggs Benedict. But not alot of people can make a nice hollandaise, this is spot on.... eggs r perfectly poached. Salmon is fresh. Really bomb. Will definetly be back If you come bright n early, it's a nice quiet place to enjoy your breakfast. Hats off to the chef!
Great breakfast/brunch with friends. Menu & pricing is comparable to all the breakfast chains. Service was friendly & attentive without being pushy. Fresh fruit portion including berries in the middle of winter A+ Potatoes are standard not overwhelming. Eggs benny yummy but messy presentation. Honestly fits the bill just perfectly for a local spot to meet up.
The service & the food was good. Their portions are the same as the other brunch restaurants. The price was a bit high & the place could see some improvements in terms of cleanlinless/hygiene. I also dint like the fact they charged me 4$ more just to exchange my tea which was included in my set order to just a green tea instead. With tax & tip I ended up paying 30$ just for some eggs & potatoes, its sad indeed.
I've had brunch here many times. There is a good variety of menu options to choose from. The eggs, bacon, ham, sausages, potatoes & pancakes are all very good. & the service has always been quick & the servers are always polite & efficient. I highly recommend this restaurant for a great brunch experience!
