Le Petit Dep comes across as a cozy, eclectic cafe and shop with a homey vibe that many find welcoming, offering a wide selection of high quality coffee, pastries and vegan options, plus charming local gifts. Reviewers praise friendly staff, fast service, and tasty croissants and cappuccinos, while some note the space is small or cluttered and that laptops are discouraged or not allowed, which can be a plus for some but frustrating for those hoping to work. Decor ranges from homely and quirky to busy, with some mentioning a charming kitsch atmosphere and others calling it overstuffed, but the overall vibe remains a highlight. Prices are sometimes described as a little steep for some items, yet many return weekend after weekend for beverages and treats, including chocolate and specialty drinks like matcha and chai. In sum, Le Petit Dep is a go to for a cozy casual visit with good coffee and pastry options, especially for locals and shoppers seeking a bright, unique vibe, while acknowledging a few drawbacks around space, interior design and the no laptops policy.
Extremely charming cafe in the old port right next to Notre Dame Basilica. We loved the atmosphere while being here. The decor really give this place the most cozy feel. & if you end up here on a rainy day, the atmosphere is next level cozy. I got the soft serve of the day which was raspberry vanilla. A little bit too soft honestly but really enjoyed the flavors. The raspberry flavor was tart & you could see & taste that they used real vanilla bean for the vanilla (I don't often find that in soft serve. It was really great). I wouldn't have minded to wait longer for a more firm ice cream though. My partner got an artisanal beer from their wide selection of beers. Overall we had a great experience at this high quality cafe

The drinks were all great & they have a bunch of products from around Montreal for purchase. It's pretty touristy, a little loud & a little expensive, but everything was good & it's very cute so worth the visit
Le Petit Dep at St-Sulpice doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, it's a whole vibe. They've got cupcakes, ice cream, coffee, water-literally everything you need. Super chill spot with that European, homey feel. We grabbed a swirl ice cream this time, but definitely coming back for the cupcakes! Service with a smile.
Tout simplement magnifique! Le décor & l'ambiance sont exceptionnels. Le café est excellent tout comme le personnel. Seul petit hic : peu de places assises.

This was a very popular spot. The exterior of the shop brought the instagramers to capture the photo. The interior is warm & eclectic. What a lovely place to sip on a delicious coffee or tea & watch the happenings on the street through the window. The service was very friendly & efficient. We enjoyed our coffees here, & we would love to come back sometime.
This cafe possesses a really distinct atmosphere & its location within old Montreal is a great bonus. The washrooms are clean. There's Wi-Fi that's available. Good food options. Unfortunately, according to the sign indoors, you can't have a laptop or tablet out. Which I guess is understandable seeing where the establishment is located.

Amazing hot chocolate prepared by the barista - Lucile; she prepared it exactly as I needed - dark & not sweet! Amazon cafe to hangout & relax with amazing menu n variety! Highly recommended... one of my fav spots for coffee, hot chocolate n snacks...
I had a delightful afternoon stop at Petit Dep on Saint-Sulpice Street in Old Montreal. This quaint little café is the perfect blend of charm & history. Housed in a heritage building, Petit Dep takes its name from the French term "dépanneur," meaning convenience store, & offers a modern take on that concept with artisanal snacks & local goods. I grabbed a latte & a berry scone, both of which were fantastic. The latte was smooth & perfectly balanced, & the scone was fresh, soft, & packed with flavor. It was the ideal treat for an afternoon recharge. The cozy atmosphere & friendly staff made the experience even better. If you're looking for a peaceful spot to grab a coffee or snack while wandering the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal, Petit Dep is worth a visit.
Canele framboise was very good, loved the filling. Nutella one was ok. Also got the london fog which was also ok, maybe too little taste of earl grey for me. It is still worth a visit cause of its super cute interior 👍

Je n'ai pas mangé au petit dep, l'endroit semble sympa, cependant ne pensez pas venir étudier sur place les ordinateurs & tablettes sont interdites ! 😅
The place is cute but the music was so loud ! Maple matcha latte tasted like milk & nothing else. Cheese croissant was crazy oily but tasty. Overall just ok kinda disappointing
This is right next to the Notre Dame Cathedral, & not far from the Port of Montreal area. The cafe itself, visually, is cute, but the food & coffee is overpriced & not good. The pastries seem like they were bought from somewhere else & just taken out of a box & heated up. The coffee tasted like soup. This is more about the "cuteness", & less about the food/coffee. There's so many better options nearby.
