A very cute little cafe in Old Montreal. You can pick a sandwich out of the fridge & they can heat it for you. They are not made to order. If they are out of what you want, you are out of luck.
On the day we went, the man at the register would speak English to customers (who didn't know French), but then when their orders were ready he called them out in French. I could see the customers confusion, but he didn't notice. They had to get his attention & ask if it was theirs. To be fair, he was busy & I'm sure he didn't mean anything by it. It's likely just habit to speak French. I just don't think it classifies as 5 star customer service.
Personally, the service & the food quality make this a 3 star experience. It was fine as a quick stop when passing by, but I wouldn't seek it out.
Hate to leave bad reviews but this wasn't great. Ordered a hot chocolate & an English breakfast tea to go. The tea was earl grey & in mug.
I went to the St-Sulpice branch a few days ago, food was ok but a staff member shouted at me after I asked a simple question. I also visited the Plateau branch a few months ago & found the service disappointing; in both cases I felt unwelcome.
Service client irréprochable, les employés ont tous été adorables, mention particulière à Mathilde pour sa gentillesse & son latte art fabuleux ! Je reviendrais !
Great service & such a cute place to stop by. Please note they don't allow laptops I'm assuming so you don't hog the seating the entire day which is kinda nice since it is a busy area. Coffee & lattes are so good here just wish they had better sandwich options.
