Everything looked so good & I had trouble deciding, thus the waiter suggested that when this happens they usually turn to their traditional basil minced pork dish (Pad Ka Prao Porc or Thai Basil), with a side of rice & a fried egg on top. I had to try it. I had it at medium spicy which was just right for me, however do note that it is fairly spicy at that level, & it was just popping with flavour. There is a nice mix of vegetables within the dish & the pork was very juicy & tender; plus the fried egg added a nice contrast of flavour. I would highly recommend it & although I'm not very close by, I'll make the journey to return hopefully soon.
Really enjoyed my Khao Kra Pao & for meat i picked minced pork, but, you can choose wether you want pork, chicken or beef, i believe. So flavorful.. Spicy but not exaggeratingly hot, a little bit sweet & that basil… the basil really ties all the flavors together. I'd come back & order the same plate again, read a book, stick around & order dessert, maybe try out their crème brûlée. those are rarely a bad experience so i think it will be well within the standard of another delicious sweet. i really recommend going on an empty stomach, though, Thai food is full of flavor & is, for the most part, very filling & for all the right reasons.
