Overall Le Passé Composé is celebrated for sophisticated brunch, flavorful, visually appealing plates, and a convivial setting that keeps guests returning.
The food looks lovely & my friends enjoyed their meals, but they do not allow any modifications or substitutions from the menu. This makes it very difficult for anyone with allergies. The language on the menus & on the website does not make this clear at all. If anything, it seems accommodating because it says let us know about any allergies & mentions one item that can be withheld. There are many good reasons to not allow changes, but this should be communicated clearly.
Really great brunch spot. It's on the fancier side in terms of atmosphere, service & price. Quite a hefty price for brunch but it was worth it. The champêtre (mushroom & pork) poached eggs were amazing 10/10. Would order again. Lamb sandwich was also amazing. They unfortunately didn't have any soup so that was a bummer, we had to settle for the potatoes which weren't that good. The coffee was a bit lukewarm, would have liked it much hotter. The seating was also a bit crammed but I guess they need to maximize tables for their business
I enjoyed my time here. The coffee was perfect, served with a thick cream on the side. There was also a wide variety of cocktails, including special morning cocktails. My favourite breakfast option Egg Benedict, but there were several other delicious choices.
As a side note, I hope they replace the worn-out menu book.
Good food, nice presentation, nice vibe. Pricier but to be expected in the area. One of the better brunches in Montreal! Definitely worth reserving ahead of time.
Attente des plats de plus d'une heure
Nous avons recu nos boissons lorsque les plats étaient presque fini
Erreur sur notre commande
Bref... service & attitude du manager vraiment à revoir.
C'est dommage parce que les grill cheese sont plutôt bons
loved the atmosphere & the food. We tried the poached egg with lamb, grilled cheese, & French toast, all were amazing. The staff was also very friendly. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Montreal
Les assiettes sont copieuses, ma femme a était intoxiquée par un grille cheese aux champignons & la tenues des serveurs fait pitié, ayez au moins une chemise repassée. Bref je n y retournerai plus

Superbe endroit. Décor, site, gentillesse du personnel, créativité du chef . Style new york sans se déplacer.
Les budgets restreints seront surpris toutefois.
The bone marrow dish may be the best I have ever had. So flavourful & a decent portion size. The Biagios cold brew was so tasty. Surprise hint of salt made is just perfect.
Highly for anyone visiting near old Montreal! Make sure to make your reservation as this place gets busy.
The food is great the second time I've been since their last location..India Rosa owner bought them. so slightly different menu, the prices went up. The food was really good & rich in portions. The service was nice. The decor is pretty beautiful honestly very pretty..the only down side is the prices it's a tiny bit pricey.
