I visited Le Déj for Sunday afternoon brunch in July, about four months after they opened, & really enjoyed discovering a newer family-oriented breakfast spot in Laval.

The restaurant is bright & colourful with fun decor, blue booths, yellow chairs, & a huge mural that immediately catches your attention. The owner, Voula, was also sooo sweet & took the time to tell us more about the thought they put into their food.

I really liked the Eggs Benedict with premium-cut beef brisket, served on a sourdough English muffin made by a local bakery. Everything tasted fresh & on the healthier, lightly seasoned side, but they have pretty much every condiment you could need on the table if you want to add a little more flavour yourself.

Voula explained that they don't use seed oils, only extra virgin olive oil & avocado oil, & there isn't even a deep fryer in the kitchen. She also told us they receive fresh deliveries every two days & use ingredients from local farms when possible, which I really appreciated.

Overall, Le Déj feels like a great option for families or anyone looking for a fresh, lighter take on breakfast & brunch in Laval. I'd happily come back & try more of the menu!

Encore une fois, Le Déj ne nous a vraiment pas déçus! Nous sommes venus pour le brunch & tout était simplement délicieux.

J'ai pris le beef brisket, & wow… une viande tendre, savoureuse & parfaitement préparée. Un vrai régal! 🤤

Ma conjointe, de son côté, a pris le Goût du matin, & elle a tout simplement adoré. Tout était excellent, bien présenté & rempli de saveurs.

Mais je dois absolument parler de leur bacon! 🥓 Honnêtement, c'est probablement le meilleur bacon que j'ai mangé en ville. De très belle qualité, bien épais, parfaitement croustillant & vraiment savoureux. C'est exactement comme ça qu'un bacon devrait être!

Le service était également excellent & l'ambiance très agréable, malgré l'achalandage. On comprend rapidement pourquoi l'endroit est aussi populaire.

Le Déj, c'est définitivement une adresse à essayer pour un excellent brunch. On va revenir, c'est certain! ❤?

Great place to have breakfast/brunch. Staff do their very best at the most busy times & food is amazing, many choices & very nice atmosphere.

The food is really good. For a breakfast place, nothing is heavy, everything is fresh with a mediterranean twist. It is one if not the best service I have ever had at any restaurant. Portions are generous & the prices fair.

The lady in charge of the dining room is wonderful! Both time I went the restaurant was almost empty, which is good for us as guests, but I would prefer for the restaurant to be full so that everyone can enjoy this wonderful new spot.

The only negative point is the music: it is too loud & the style of music is not at all what I like, especially when brunching.
