Went there on a Sunday night, the atmosphere - absolutely gorgeous, vintage, aesthetic, chic, a little bit of creep but just about right. Supposed to be a perfect short date, but our bartender that night decided he wouldn't help us achieve it. I could see he was obviously busy, but for a bartender that should not be the excuse to showcase terrific attitude to your customers. Minimum interaction, no eye contact, no trace of a smile, when I waited 10 mins for my wine to be poured after tasting, I thought the message was I had to pour it by myself since the bottle was put in front of me. As long as I touched the bottle, the bartender magically appeared, & instead of talking to me saying "please let me help you with that " or something professional, he made sounds with his lips that meant "no" & treated me like ... a pet? The attitude was above the roof, like he was a big shot & doesn't belong there, asking to be served is bothering him. - I know this is just my interpretation but that's how I felt at the moment, I found this unprofessional for the position he's holding, no matter what personal issues he might be going through, I've never been treated like this by any other bartender. Conclusion - a great place for a date in the evening, just don't sit at the bar, the waitresses work there are professional & friendly.View more

I don't understand why everyone goes on first dates here because I find it just too loud. Everytime I've gone here I've left feeling like my voice is strained as if I just left the club. However if someone is visiting Montreal I will almost always take them here so they can take their pictures & say'what a fun & quirky city' because they have dolls on the walls or whatever. Good drinks that are just strong enough for me to be able to listen to other people's conversations while having my own.View more

I came across this bar while bar-hoping with my friends & we all agreed that it would be the perfect place for a date. So I went back with my boyfriend the week after & we were completely right!! The ambience is cozy but energetic, with good music also being on the menu on both of my visits there. The drinks are good, reasonably priced, & the food is as great as its price. But the service... WOW!! Probably one of the most memorable services that I've ever had. The waiter was such a gem, recommending what's on the menu without upselling, being quick with service, & making conversation without being too invasive. Overall, top notch service both times that I've been. I haven't tried their breakfast/brunch menu, but I'd probably go back to try :) I would definitely recommend for a bar date or girls night!View more
Literally my favorite spot/bar in the city. I've been here countless times. Whether it's for a business lunch, date, drinks with friends or simply to work this place is a vibe for every occasion!
