Le Comptoir Cuisine Du Marché presents a vibrant market-inspired culinary experience, focusing on fresh, seasonal ingredients to craft its distinctive dishes. The menu highlights elevated comfort food, featuring robust burgers and creative breakfast options that showcase the best of local produce. Each plate is prepared with meticulous attention to detail, offering a satisfying and flavourful meal. The atmosphere encourages a casual yet refined dining occasion, where the quality of the food speaks for itself. This establishment is a destination for those seeking well-executed market cuisine in a lively setting.
Le Comptoir Cuisine Du Marché receives mixed feedback regarding its overall dining experience, with frequent praise for the friendly and attentive service provided by certain staff members standing in contrast to reports of unprofessional interactions. While the atmosphere is often described as charming, the culinary quality remains inconsistent, as guests have noted that while some items like the oysters or the mountain lasagna are well received, other dishes such as the chicken croquettes, pizza, and spaghetti often arrive cold or poorly prepared. Many visitors find the menu selection comparable to simple cafeteria fare, and while the children's buffet is appreciated by families, the limitation of buffet options and the varying quality of main courses suggest that the dining experience does not always align with the expectations set by a luxury hotel setting.
We went for the breakfast buffet today, & the waiter (an older bald man with a white beard & glasses) came to pour juice into my glass. I asked if it was orange juice, since I have allergies & need to confirm ingredients before drinking anything.
Instead of simply answering, he paused, smirked, pointed at the juice container, & said'What color is this? You can't see the color? Color blind?'
I found this extremely unprofessional & unwelcoming. It was a very simple question, & there was no reason for that kind of response. The interaction made me feel very uncomfortable afterward
We had a wonderful experience with the staff-Alexe was particularly attentive & helpful-& the ambiance is charming. However, the culinary experience didn't match the service. The spaghetti with shrimp arrived with very small portions & miniature shrimps - barely visible. It's also worth noting the buffet is exclusive to children; offering an adult tier would be a welcome change. Recommended primarily for families with young children.

'Fantastic Breakfast & Dinner Experience at Le Comptoir Cuisine du Marché'
We had a wonderful breakfast & Dinner at Le Comptoir Cuisine du Marché & were truly impressed. The open buffet offers a high-quality selection of delicious food, with something to satisfy every taste. Everything was fresh, flavorful, & well-prepared.
The service was just as exceptional as the food. Everyone we interacted with was kind & helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our server, Patrick, was outstanding-respectful, attentive, & genuinely committed to providing a great experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit & will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended for a top-tier breakfast experience!
We were in Canada for a white Christmas so booked Christmas dinner at a 5 star hotel thinking a posh buffet would be a solution for our family of 2 adults 2 teens.. It was not. We were seated in a corner next to a large table of children on baby sitting devices with each YouTubeing at full blast, no headphones. Service should be simple, get drinks & clear the table. It did not exist. We ended up clearing our own table & pouring water that was at a side board for drinks. Managed to order a round of drinks that took an eternity. Food was of highest quality but you expect that however you'd hope the place was adequately staffed too for the price. We had to track down the bill to pay & while we expected a premium for Christmas night $650 Canadian including taxes nearly blew my head off. They then had the stones to provide a card machine with a suggested tip! To top it off we went to get our coats & they had no sembelence of order to know where they had put them so I had to dive in & go 1 by 1 through the racks to find them. Good grief, if mismanaged hospitality were a sport these guys were world beaters.
