Avis pour Le Coin Sushi & Burger Bar
There's something poetic about a place you have to search for. Like it doesn't scream for attention… it waits for the right people to find it.
That was our experience at Le Coin Sushi & Burger Bar.
We called ahead, no answer. Not the most reassuring start. But curiosity (& a little hunger) won. So we went.
& finding it? Let's just say… this isn't a'stumble upon it while shopping' kind of spot. It's tucked away at the end of the outdoor promenade, almost hidden. You either enter from the far-right parking lot or sneak in through the garden near the food court.
When we finally arrived, the place had a quiet buzz… occupied, but with plenty of seating. A small bistro-style setup. I'll be honest, I expected something a touch more elevated visually. But sometimes the real elevation comes from the plate, not the decor.
The staff was warm, pleasant, genuinely helpful. That matters more than fancy lighting.
Now let's talk food, because that's where things shifted. We started with the bluefin tartare. & I don't say this lightly: one of the best I've ever had. Fresh, clean, generous portion. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid-bite & rethink your expectations.
The tuna yukhoe, recommended by our server was interesting, but not something I'd rush back for.
Then came the sushi. Healthy Hanna roll, Golden Ferrari, jalapeno roll. Fresh. Balanced. Thoughtful. No shortcuts here.
& the fries? Simple side… but that BBQ seasoning? Dangerous. The kind of'just one more' that turns into'why is the plate empty?'
I had my eye on the short rib tacos, but they weren't available. Soft opening realities. You forgive it when you sense the potential.
Because that's really the story here. Le Coin Sushi & Burger Bar isn't fully polished yet. It's not trying to be the loudest place in the mall. But beneath the slightly hidden entrance & modest space… there's something real happening in that kitchen.
& I'll be back & I'll update this review.
The first time there service & food where good , sizes where also good, It encourage me to go back again, the 2nd time around the service was horrible my burger sat on the counter for 15 minutes while the only woman waitress there was having friendly talk with someone. On my 3dr visit the meat patty was 1/2 half the size of the original( 1st & 2nd time I was there). & when I came to pay they were not able to give me the receipt stating their machine is broken. But to make this experience even worst when I checked my bank charges the following day I have noticed they over charged me by $35 on a $59 bill. Tried calling the number listed but no one ever answers. Im not sure who is behind this venture but Im truly upset that its deteriorated in the span of 3 weeks. I really enjoy the mall & the fact it's kosher so please do something about it.
Came unexpectedly with my girls, food was yummy, fresh fish, & service was very fast.. will definitely go back bh
Le Coin: Sushi & Burger Bar is a really cool new spot in Royalmount. Love the concept being able to get sushi & burgers in one place is perfect for a late night bite. Open late, & has a nice open kitchen vibe.
It's a smaller space with louder music & tables close together, so it's more of a quick, lively spot than a long sit-down. The server was also the cashier but still gave great service everything was done properly & efficiently.
It gets cold when the door opens, & people repeatedly tend to get a little too comfortable chatting right at the kitchen directly above prepared dishes. Also, the location is hard to find Google Maps isn't accurate & it only says it's in Royalmount on Instagram.
Overall, solid spot with a lot of potential. Definitely coming back to see how it develops.
Very friendly staff. Ask for the Salmon Teriyaki! Thank you to Gab for the service.
Everything is incredibly fresh, the fish quality is top-tier, & the service is always friendly. It's a small, cozy space, so it feels very personal & authentic. If you're looking for high-quality sushi without the fuss, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
I came on a Thursday night & the place was full! The staff was super attentive & prepared me a place at the counter while I waited for a table, as soon as a table opened up they brought me to a table. I had a steak which was delicious & tataki. Will be returning with my family for sure.
I was really excited to try this new kosher spot at RoyalMount - finally something new with sushi, burgers, & more. I made a reservation last night for 11:15 AM, & their website clearly said they open at 11.
We showed up on time, only to be told they don't open until later. The employee we spoke to was rude, dismissive, & claimed we never had a reservation at all. He even told us that they do not take reservations, I found that weird because on their website you could book a table. There was no effort to check properly, no apology, & no attempt to offer us another time or solution - it honestly felt like they didn't care.
For a new place, this was extremely disorganized & disappointing. Definitely not the kind of first impression you want to give. Based on this experience, I wouldn't recommend going.
The staff is very friendly. They're quite knowledgeable about items on the menu & recommended food items that ended up being super delicious.
