I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing.
We ordered through the QR code at our table & ended up waiting over 45 minutes. Our order included the spicy chicken sandwich, a chocolate shake, & the tuna Karim. After about 15 minutes, I went to ask if they had received our order. They confirmed that they had & said it was already being prepared. They even handed me my chocolate shake at that point.
After waiting another 30 minutes, our food still hadn't arrived, even though customers who came in after us were already being served. When I asked again, I was told there had been an issue with the ordering system. That explanation didn't really make sense. If the order hadn't gone through, how were they able to confirm it earlier & serve my shake?
To make matters worse, the tuna Karim was very disappointing. Based on the menu description, I expected tuna with bocconcini & tomatoes. Instead, it was basically just tuna spread. When I asked about it, the waiter said the bocconcini & tomatoes were blended into the tapenade, which wasn't reflected in the menu description at all. At some point I felt I was being gaslighted about my order.
The long wait, confusing communication, & misleading menu description made for a frustrating experience. I hope they can improve both their ordering system & the accuracy of their menu.
The spicy chicken sandwich was good. Chocolate shake was ok, nothing special. If you want to wait for more than 45 minutes for a sandwich, sure, this is the place to go!
Ham sandwich literally has 1 slice of ham in it. More like a bread sandwich. Just tasted like bread. Imagine being a cook at a restaurant & you don't even know how to make a sandwich.
Good service however if your going to charge $10 for a grill cheese it would be nice to have cheese on the full sandwich not half the sandwich.
Parfait petit endroit fréquenté par les étudiants, sandwich frais délicieux & soupe marocaine excellente. J'ai beaucoup aimé !
I ask for a tuna sandwich & they didn't even have tuna, so I don't understand why didn't they told me if I wanted to change the tuna for something else & they brought me the sandwich without tuna & even without tomatoes…..(in the menu the sandwich has tomatoes)
Staff is very nice & friendly. They have a kind & very welcoming vibe. The food is sadly disappointing & quite pricey. I pad $47 for two sandwiches & two drinks (including tax & tip). At my local cafe, I usually pay $30 for the same. I thought the sandwich would come with a small side at that price, but it does not. Coffee is good. If I come back it would probably be just for the coffee but definitely not the food.
I had a veggie sandwich l, wasn't the most flavourful & the bread was very thin & fell apart. Veggies were bland. However the decaf latte made up for it. One of the best lattes I've had outside my home. Latte 5/5 sandwich 3/5 hence why I gave a 4 star rating. The place could use a bit of sprucing up.
Cute cafe but grotesquely expensive for slow service & mediocre food that comes cold when you're seated. For my walk in experience; tried to get two large lattes & two regular grilled cheese with bacon. This place tried to charge me $41! Took my business to Starbucks for a hell of a better sandwich & drinks for half the price.
