Review Summary

Le Boulevardier is widely recognized as a top-tier destination in downtown Montreal, consistently praised for its elegant atmosphere and exceptional service. Guests frequently highlight the high quality and creative presentation of the French cuisine, with standout dishes including the filet mignon, scallops, and innovative desserts. While many diners appreciate the professional and attentive staff, including the knowledgeable sommeliers, some visitors have noted inconsistencies regarding portion sizes and occasional noise levels during peak hours. Despite varying opinions on pricing and value, the restaurant remains a popular choice for both business lunches and special occasions, with most patrons expressing a strong desire to return for the sophisticated dining experience.

Les plats étaient gouteux, généreux & innovateurs. Le service à table était correct sauf le sommelier qui nous a suggéré des vins sans savoir ce que nous avions commandé !

We had been to this restaurant last year & had an absolute fantastic meal.& fantastic service experience.
The servers were very well polished & made recommendations for wine that were spot on & with good value.
Unfortunately, it was not the case this time. Even though we got similar food items compared to last year. The sizes were much much smaller. In fact, we left the restaurant quite hungry.
The stakes are steak was half the size of last year. The lobster resulted was also 50% smaller.
The octopus came with hardly half of one tentacle for the entire dish.

In addition the somilier was quite aggressive. Suggesting wines to us in the 2 to 300 dollar range to start out with. In fact, his selections were subpar.Compared to last year.

We spent over $1100, without tip, & all of us genuinely felt hungry.& kind of ripped off.

It's too bad, but we had considered the space, a hidden gem in montreal.
Not really a reason to return to this place After the experience, we just had

Went for dinner with a group of 6 on Saturday & everything was fabulous. Cocktails, seafood platter, apps, mains & desserts were all absolutely delicious! They accommodated a food allergy with ease.
One suggestion I would make… would have loved to see a salad (of any kind) on the menu.
Service was impeccable!

We did the 7 course tasting menu & asked for the chef's choice. Every dish was incredible. Can't recommend it enough.

Très belle découverte, belle endroit , personnel très attentif & a l'écoute. Le menu dégustation ainsi que l'accord met vin nous a donné de superbe découverte. Le sommelier connais très bien ces vins & propose des choix intéressants. On va assurément y retourner.

First time at Le Boulevardier, & I ordered the filet Rossini with the aligot replaced by vegetables. The presentation & overall quality of the food were excellent. However, the portion size was quite small, & the dish didn't fully justify its CAD 58 price tag - I expected a bit more meat for that price. Overall, the atmosphere was lovely, & the waitstaff were attentive & responsive.
