Le Beau Marché is a gourmet grocery in Montreal, offering locally-sourced food, fine cheeses, wines, fresh bakery items, sandwiches, and catering services for private and corporate events.
Le Beau Marché is a thoughtfully curated market that blends French and Quebec staples such as breads, cheeses, charcuterie, pantry items, and wines in a warm boutique setting that feels like a small gourmet treasure; the staff are consistently friendly and helpful, coffee and ready-to-eat items are well received, and the shop is welcoming to dogs and visitors alike who enjoy browsing and often end up leaving with more than planned; reviews highlight high quality, freshness, and a strong selection including pastries and breads, while noting that tipping at checkout is questioned by some and a concern about bread handling hygiene has been raised; overall Le Beau Marché is seen as a reliable spot for groceries, prepared foods, and catering or events, with a responsive team and a loyal local following.
Beautiful & pretty boutique grocery store!. Staff members are friendly any time of the day. Wonderful selection of European grocery. 1883 syrop section is a WOW for bakers & mixologists!! Along with many great things about this Marché, honestly my primary reason of visiting Le Beau Marché is Canelé! Yes, Oui, they have fantastic Canelé!!
I discovered this little grocery boutique up the street from my AirBnB & it is so fantastic!
I stocked up my fridge for the week with beautiful produce & fresh pasta, even wine. The Manager, Charles, is so lovely & welcoming.
This quaint shop has everything you need, it was hard to focus because there are so many beautiful items to enjoy.
Will definitely return every time I am in Old Montreal - you should too!

Merci à toute l'équipe pour votre accueil chaleureux & votre service impeccable ! 😊 Of course les cafés sont excellents ☕🍺 Continuez ainsi, vous êtes vraiment au top ! 🔥👏 Merci encore ! 🙌 Allez l'OM ! 😉
This stores prompts you for a tip automatically & that's offensive. Does warming up a bagel, bagging a baguette or just being the cashier really warrant a tip? I think not. This is an egregious abuse of trust between the business & the customers. What's worse, is you could be grabbing things yourself as it's a store which happens to sell premade food, no one is making your food on the spot, this establishment is not a restaurant. Imagine you get to the register, get rung up & boom your bill is any amount, why the *curse word* would you tip because the cashier did their job... Just disappointed...
I ordered a flat white & a pain aux chocolat. The barista & cashier were very nice people. Standing on the corner of the sidewalk, waiting for traffic to clear, I took a sip of my flat white.
I wanted to run back in & compliment the barista because it was such a perfect sip.
But. Traffic cleared. I crossed the street, sipping on my drink. Enjoying the perfect cup of flat white. Merci to the barista!

Stopped by Le Beau Marché to pick up some French butter & somehow left with a bag full of other things. It's one of those places where everything on the shelves is so thoughtfully curated that you can't help but keep browsing.
The selection of products from France & Quebec is fantastic - great cheeses, pantry items, & specialty ingredients you don't easily find elsewhere. It feels like a little gourmet treasure trove.
The owner was incredibly warm & friendly, which made the visit even better. You can tell there's real care behind the shop & the products they carry.
They also serve coffee & food, which looked great, but did not try. Definitely coming back next time we're in Montreal to spend more time & try the café.
A charming neighborhood boutique market! They have a wonderful selection of food items - truly everything you could need. We found ourselves stopping in nearly every day during our trip to Montreal. They even welcomed our dog, which made it feel even more like a local gem. The staff are consistently friendly, warm, & incredibly helpful. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
This is a great place---high quality food including fresh breads, meats, cheeses, specialty & basics, & the most delicious & beautiful platters---many Quebec products. All with friendly service.
Wonderful find close to our AirBnb. Very welcoming & helpful staff. Fresh bread & pastry, cheeses, wine, etc. along with pre-prepared items to enjoy for our Christmas Eve & morning feasts!
I went in there for the first time thinking it would be just a nicer looking depanneur & left with some groceries, some tasty baked goods &, more importantly, wishing to come back. Amazing staff. I can see why this place is called le beau marche'the pretty market'.

A cozy boutique market. I came here on my first trip to Montreal back in 2022 before its expansion to the back. It's become my stop every time I'm in the city. I'd plan my accommodations within a walking distance to the market so I can conveniently stop by. I always admire their beautifully decorated entrance.
