I got a plate recommended by the chef. It had ribs, pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, & mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese is a little bit spicy, but not too much, just enough. It had a very pleasant texture & a very nice cheesy taste, with just enough heat. The ribs were coated in a rich, tangy sauce that really brought out the smoky flavour, they were very tender & an absolute delight. The pulled pork was also absolutely divine. Hands down the best I've had so far. I can't recommend this place enough. It's absolutely worth the trip.Voir plus
Would you expect a BBQ joint in Montreal? I didn't, but the more I read the more I wanted to go. & what an awesome place! It's a cozy space just off the water with some great cow art & country music to add to the ambiance. The owner was there, & it was a pleasure to meet him & hear about his passion for BBQ (which we share, so easy conversation). He's got a great selection of whiskeys going, & the bartender, wow- she rocked some great cocktails (including some off-menu ones at request, after ingredients were verified in stock). I got the beef rib, brisket, & chicken (added at the bartender's suggestion) & they were all amazing. I hadn't had smoked beef rib before, & that was outstanding. I have had smoked chicken before, & it had been dry. John's wasn't- it was moist & smokey & delightful. If they're not swamped, it's a delightful crew to chat with. Don't miss!Voir plus

Lattuca serves legit BBQ. My brisket & beef rib were smoked to perfection, & the perfect consistency. I have not had BBQ this good outside of the southeast U.S., these folks don't play. If you're looking for Montreal style brisket there are a million places in town for that. Do not come here looking for that. Come here for slow & low, smoked, real BBQ. We took the sharing plater for five. The portions of meat were very generous & fed everyone. The price was fair for everything we got. It emulates a Texas BBQ style - they serve until they run out. Though service was working at a reduced capacity, everyone was lovely & bilingual. Would recommend!Voir plus

Over price, only got 2 slice of beef & 1 was only fat. It taste good but kinda cold. 34$ for a meal so tiny i had to eat somewherr else after. The 2 start is for the waitress, at least she was kind. Dont go there its not worth it at all.Voir plus
I visited Lattuca Barbecue on Sunday, September 15, & despite the restaurant being extremely busy, I happy with the level of service I received-especially from our waitress, Emma. Even with the high volume of customers, Emma remained incredibly kind, attentive, & professional throughout the meal. Her ability to manage everything with a smile during such a hectic time truly stood out. On top of that, the food was fantastic! The brisket was tender, juicy, & full of flavor-definitely some of the best I've had, next to Gatlans in Texas.Voir plus

While it's great to boast about being a World Champion of Brisket, there is a difference in being experts in competitions (food for few) vs restaurants (food for masses) . The pulled pork was overdone to the point of being mush & unappetizing. The chicken was tender but the flavor didn't hit the mark. The brisket had a great texture but was on the salty side. Portion sizes are not in line with the price but you are in the tourist side of the island & you're paying for an "experience". I was disappointed that the drinks weren't homemade & watched our waitress pour our lemonade from a premade store bottle. The positive to the evening was our waitress who was delightful, friendly & quick. This restaurant has what it takes to up its game, & I wish it continued success.Voir plus
