This restaurant is upstairs in Building A at the Museum of Archaeology. The food is decent & it is not busy. Good place to checkout if you plan on staying over lunch at the museum.
Prices are a bit marked up since it is inside the attraction, but the setting is very nice as you are overlooking the Old Port.
Overall the portions were fine, but pretty disappointed how small the kids poutine was .. basically the same size as a bun. Some servers were pretty hospitable but not all.View more
Recommended by a friend for my graduation lunch - this "secret" restaurant was SO worth it! Everyone enjoyed it, & let me tell you that we had some tough critics to satisfy (aka a Spanish & Italian grandmother) & they approved ✨ &, look at these meals - all around sensorial experience 📸View more
I've been to different iterations of this restaurant & this one is quite good! Enjoyed a brunch of Montréal bagel with two kinds of smoked fish (excellent) & a lunch of seafood risotto (a little salty, but succulent). As always, the view of Old Port is amazing but it's still quite a hidden gem! What takes this iteration of L'Arrivage to the next level, though, is the service. When we came once for lunch, they served us the wrong dish (I think the waiter misheard). He was very apologetic & offered to switch it to the correct one - the floor manager even came to see us. We didn't want to waste food, so we ate the new dish & enjoyed it. Then they comped it at the end even though we said we would pay. Thanks for the great service!View more
Autant le service que la nourriture sont 5 étoiles! Spécialités gastronomiques françaises & québécoises, toujours frais,...& à prix raisonnables! ...sans parler de la vue magnifique! Un endroit de choix pour le lunch!
This is a really lovely place for lunch. The food is delicious & nicely presented. The servers were friendly, helpful & attentive. The room is small & quiet. & the view is amazing! Highly recommended.
Waited one hour for our orders to arrive, even though we were the first ones to arrive when the restaurant opened at 11:30am. No explanation for the delay except to say "it'll be ready soon". Food was absolutely terrible! Both pasta dishes arrived barely lukewarm, obviously having been left on a counter for some time as the pasta has already congealed into a solid mass. Beef bourgone has not one piece of beef in it. By the time we left at 1:30pm, there were about 10 tables of customers & we noted none has any food served yet (including a couple of tables who arrived shortly after us). Really spoiled our intention of a nice lunch in a beautiful setting!
I went for lunch & we had ravioli & fish & chips. The ravioli was way too salty & a bit hard (28$)
The fish & chips had a small portion fish, nice presentation & good fries(29$)
The service was slow & un attentive. The coffee got cold by the time we got the dessert. They should have inquired if we want the coffee with the dessert.
As we say. We came twice. First & last time. It is really too bad as the pre COVID restaurant was lovely
Le lunch était très bon. Service aussi.
Nous étions un groupe de 50.
Merci.
Setting is beautiful, my guests lunch was delish , mine not so much. No sparkling water available or alcohol free options.
Went to this restaurant for lunch with a good friend. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, & the setting is marvelous. It's a must if you visit Montreal & want to enjoy a memorable lunch.
