This bakery is a small counter co existing in a furniture/decor store. I got a chocolatine. It was super nice & flakey. Wish there was more chocolate inside as half of the pastry didn't have any.
L'Amour du Pain, is a must try! If you love pastries, you must come here. It has pastries, coffee, local handmade products, breads, & more. It has a great cafe atmosphere, friendly staff, & you will definitely want to try everything.🖤☕?🥖🍰
Our favourite bakery every time we visit Montreal it's the place we go every day to get something different, the variety, the quality, the taste of everything they have is absolutely incredible, every time we are in, we want to try everything! It's definitely Love for the Bread! Best pastries!!! Can't wait to come back soon! 🙏☺?
One of the best bakery I have tried in Montreal. The selection of items is great, & the staff is very welcoming, kind, & go above & beyond when it comes to unexpected situations.
My only complaint is about Too Good To go: their surprise bag mentions & I quote'surprise bag filled with baked goods'. I might just be unlucky but most, if not all, bags I have ordered during the week contain unrelated items, like pasta salads. I am all for saving food, but the description might need to be changed, & the content of the bags could be mixed with other bags to also include baked items with the one salad, instead of three salad bowls. It is, in the end, a bakery & people have a certain expectation as to what a Too Good To Go bag might contain from there. The bags I get on Sundays & Mondays always contain baked goods though, a positive thing to mention.
I can not say enough about this place. We are from out of town & when we come back to Montreal we go here first. Amazing bakery, amazing sour dough, fantastic coffee! Would highly recommend.
I usually love l'amour du pain du pain but the croissant I tried were one of the worst I've had in a while. Not crispy, not flaky nor buttery, even in the oven. It was a big disappointment because I used to go often but on the one on the south sore.
Customer service was fine but what really troubled me was the bread. When I opened the bag there were wholes everywhere 🥲. Half of the bread is air… I sadly didn't keep the receipt or I might've gone back to see what could be done.
Not worthy of the l'amour du pain brand/name which is supposed to be a premium bakery.
All stars for the bread loaves & sourdough (not judging pastries, they're ok but not superb). I still think this is the best option in the area for good bread. Is it cheap? No. But the price is fair & the quality for daily bread is very good. I wanted to say my experience going to this bakery was good, but... It's a complicated relationship. I read several complaints about the staff, & yep, sometimes they seem to be inattentive. Which I understand, many are young folks who are probably in college learning their ways through. But watch out for not paying extra for your items, they may get confused with the types of item you requested & their actual price (happened to me). However, I don't blame them for not being fast. They're learning. The bad side is that the place can get messy with long lines. The other problem with this bakery is that lately none seems to be checking the inventory & projecting sales. So sometimes you go there at 11am - 12pm & there are very few options of bread (they close at 6pm). So TL;DR some types of bread are very good & the place could benefit from more planning. 🍞🥖
