We had our wedding at L'Espace Canal this past weekend & I am so glad that we chose this venue! First, L'Espace canal is absolutely beautiful. Second, our venue coordinator (Alexandra) & the L'Ambroisie/L'Espace Canal chefs & staff were fantastic throughout the entire engagement/planning process. The venue worked closely with us to customize a Southern Food buffet station to reflect my Georgia (USA) roots. They were open to suggested recipe changes, & the food turned out great - our guests were raving! Alexandra did an amazing job setting up the decorations & coordinating the arrival of other vendors. I did not have to worry about a thing on my wedding day - everything was beautiful & set up exactly to my specifications. During the wedding, the staff & bartenders were very professional & attentive to both us as bride & groom, as well as our guests. Our wedding was at L'Espace Canal was an absolute dream. We had our wedding at L' Ambroisie in May 2024. It was a dream. The location is ideal ( ceremony, cocktail hour, reception), offers overnight parking if needed. Staff is accommodating to special requests & really go out of their way to make it happen. Special Shout Out to Dietrich ( the most patient, accommodating & fun coordinator to work with), Amber ( the reception capitain) & Jonathan ( probably the best bartender in MTL) who made our day amazing. Price is well worth it & very reasonable & they offer many options. Amazing open bar, great DJ. They recommend vendors that are good to use because they know the venue inside & out. The food is SO good & there are many options to chose from. Great places to take photos as well. Overall, beautiful venue, great staff, amazing wedding !!View more
Recently had our wedding at L'Ambrosie. Simply put, outstanding. The day of the wedding , everything went extremely well, excellent service, great waiter, waitress, bartender. Food was perfectly prepared. Kitchen was on time & on the ball. Kudos to all :) Ambiance was so smooth. We booked String musicians for the service outside & had a guitarist /vocalist play at cocktail hour on terrace before going in to the dinning room Alexandra was great to deal with on setting up prior. Calm answering questions & resolving issues. Day of the event , Amber & Constance were a joy to deal with . Would easily recommend for those planning a wedding . Hands down 5 StarsView more

The venue is interesting but the food was not good & the service wasn't good either. They seemed very inexperienced. There were no glasses on the table nor wine which we pre ordered. We had two checks. One for the bar bill & one for the restaurant so I think the two are separate & this could have caused some of the issues. One of two appetizers was also the side with the entree. The beef Wellington was under cooked & very soggy. Not appetizing at all. Also service was extremely slow. I would not recommend this place ever.
Was just here for a wedding. The food was delicious & the service excellent. I am gluten intolerant & the staff was wonderful in making sure that my meal was gluten-free. The room itself is beautiful & they have a large terrace just a few feet away from the terrace. I would definitely recommend this wonderful venue to anyone getting married or organising a party.
I was able to visit this restaurant twice. Once for a summer wedding & the second for a Christmas party. Although the location is great & you can't beat the beautiful garden. I wouldn't recommend it for large functions. It doesn't seem like they are equipped to handle big events. Food arrived late, & some was cold. Portion sizes were really uneven. Staff were noticeable stressed & arguing a lot. This place has lots of promise, but would skip it if you are having an event.
