Review Summary

Labonté de la Pomme is described as a warm, family friendly spot for apple picking and exploring a working farm with a shop, an animal area, and a variety of fruit and preserved goods. Reviews highlight a broad variety of apples and other fruits, tasty snacks like cheese toast and pastries, and apple cider, all at reasonable prices with no entry fees, and the option to bring your own container. The staff are repeatedly noted as welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about cooking with apples and pears, contributing to a friendly, local atmosphere. The experience suits a seasonal visit with kids who can enjoy a little tractor ride and a small animal area, and the sugar shack meals and desserts receive strong praise. Some comments mention busy days with noise near the dining area and a safety note about open fires, suggesting room for a small improvement. Overall, the place stands out for its scenic setting, variety of fruit and products, and attentive service, often becoming a family tradition.

Very good place for Apple picking close to Montreal, found nice pumpkins in store. Tried cheese toast & a pastry, which were very good. You can also purchase Apple cider. There is a also little animal farm

Great experience for a weekend. You can go picking fruits & it is very refreshing.
They allow you to bring your own container which is very respectful to the nature & environnement. I only picked sour cherries & the garden was very beautiful.

Went for apple picking & then stopped at the Bistro. Really nice staff, very eager to help & explain their products & different varieties of apples. The Bistro was nice & warm. We tried a bit of everything but highly recommend the onion soup, grilled cheese sandwich & the cheese fondue. They also have alcoholic & non-alcoholic cider. Different kinds of honey, jam & pies. Very cute spot, highly recommend.

Two years ago my review would have different. That time the prices were reasonable & the quality was better! Two years ago we would pick the amount that fit a box beforehand & they were not weighting it after the picking! This years they tripled the prices & the sour cherries were not ripe & it was really expensive. Sth like 8$ per pound, & they also set up a fence to weight what you pick & pay that amount. I think if we go to the Marche Atwater & buy sour cherries, it would be more reasonable since you will not go through the difficulty of picking cherries yourself!

Very busy during apple picking peak season but pretty organized & helpful staff members. Get ready to wait long lines to get in & to get on the tractor ride. Save yourself the time & just walk to the orchard. Would I do it again? No, it was a one time thing for me…they say entry is « free » but you have to purchase a basket $8 per adult or you can get a half basket for $32 & that’s good for 4 adults. Beautiful orchard nonetheless & very instagrammable. Oh! Don’t forget to get the apple juice at the shop, it’s so delicious! 🍎
