Previously found at this address was a fire station exclusive to Shop Angus. Today, it is still a barrack but one where we eat, converted into trendy bar-restaurant and friendly.
Behind the red brick facade: a high ceiling, a subdued atmosphere with an industrial feel. Outside, the terrace reveals a great chic space for meeting friends.

Labarake Caserne à Manger offers a warm, stylish setting with brick walls and tasteful lighting, ample parking and a terrace, and guests consistently praise friendly service and a diverse menu that includes beef tartare, gnocchi, burrata with pears and pumpkin purée, and a satisfying poutine or burger. The ambiance is not too loud, making it suitable for groups and celebrations, while the overall experience is enhanced by attentive staff, a charming decor, and good value for money. While a few visits note occasional missteps on busy nights such as a lobster ravioli lacking lobster and timing issues, these instances seem to be outweighed by many positive impressions and a willingness to return.
Pretty disappointing meal.
The burrata was pretty average & overpriced. The cheese itself was decent but the 2 slices of bread served with it were toasted but super cold. The dish was served with some kind of peaches: some cubed & dehydrated & covered in cinnamon dust & other quartered.
All was super duper cold & didn't taste anything. Besides cinnamon! Clearly the plate was prepared way in advance & left in the fridge so everything dried up & was serve super cold.
My friends ordered steaks & both weren't cooked properly & the accompanying fries were cold & clearly left on the counter for way, way too long.
Luckily, my gnocchis were delicious.
Service was good even if the place was super busy.
Nice looking restaurants but many of the high tables are woobly. Which is really annoying.
This restaurant offers an excellent dining experience. The service is outstanding-staff members are friendly, attentive, & quick to assist. The food is delicious, well-prepared, & beautifully presented, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. The decor is creating a cozy yet stylish atmosphere. As for the location, it is convenient & easily accessible, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. Highly recommended!
Super resto! Les portions sont parfaites, les drink délicieux. Pour l'entrée j'ai pris la burrata avec poires & purée de courges à partager avec mon copain, nous avons adoré. Pour le plat principal, j'ai pris le risotto aux champignons qui étaient excellent & mon copain le contre-filet avec légumes & frites. Je recommande
You are paying for the atmosphere. Not how good the food is. We ordered an overpriced stake that was missing seasoning, texture was fine, but it felt rushed & had no craft behind it.
Gnocchi was good. That one I can say it passed.
Coffee was horrible. Burned. Do not order that.
The last detail that actually bothered me was that the waiter. He just sprayed soap on the table instead of spraying the cloth & then cleaning. I guess they don't care if your food teaste like soap.
Definitely will not go back.
Service is good, though. Waiters/ waitresses are nice & attentive. But that is about it.
Un très joli endroit où on y mange bien sans trop de bruit. Le personnel était courtois & ils ont su nous mettre à l'aise rapidement. Un lieu à découvrir encore & encore.

2024-10: 1* de plus pour Mtl à table. La cuisine est soignée & goûteuse. Le service courtois. Nous reviendrons c'est sûr. 2018:Le décor est moderne, élégant sans tomber dans le flafla. Une belle carte de vin. Un cellier bien garni & exposé à la vue des clients. Cependant, pour le brunch, j'ai trouvé la nourriture un peu ordinaire, rien qui sort de l'ordinaire. Le service est courtois. Les prix sont corrects.
Super bonne experience, restaurant vraiment nice dans une ancienne caserne de pompier. On y mange très bien. Les serveurs sont aux petits soins ! À essayer.
