Neighborhood restaurant, offering imaginative local cuisine prepared with quality ingredients.

Previously found at this address was a fire station exclusive to Shop Angus. Today, it is still a barrack but one where we eat, converted into trendy bar-restaurant and friendly.

Behind the red brick facade: a high ceiling, a subdued atmosphere with an industrial feel. Outside, the terrace reveals a great chic space for meeting friends.

The environment is pretty nice & got served fast. Ordered the fish & chips however I was disappointed in how small the fish was. The size difference between the three little fish was easily noticeable as seen in the picture. The tartare didn't have alot of taste but it was okay.

Un environnement chaleureux & spacieux, parfait pour se détendre. Ce qui m'a particulièrement marqué, c'est le service exceptionnel. Notre serveuse était vraiment à la coche, comme on dit ici au Québec. Le fish & chips était délicieux, & la sélection de bières offrait quelques choix intéressants. Toutefois, c'est vraiment le service qui se démarque, même si à certains moments il pouvait sembler un peu trop présent. L'équilibre était néanmoins bien trouvé. Mention spéciale aussi pour la beauté du bâtiment, qui ajoute au charme de l'endroit.

Restaurant dans une ancienne usine, les murs sont en brique & le décor est impressionnant & soigné. Très spacieux. On y sert calmars frits, salades, tartares, calmars frits, tatami de thon, fish & chips, steak & autres. Je vous recommande le tataki de thon (si présent sur le menu). Le service est excellent! Il y a une terrace, nous en avons profité lors de notre autre récente visite.

Belle expérience ... cocktail délicieux, assiette de fish & chips généreuse mais l'assiette de steak aurait pu être plus chaude. Super service de la part des employés. Notre seul désagrément sérieux est le bruit. Le décor est magnifique mais aussitôt qu'il y a plus de gens, on a de la difficulté à s'entendre puisque tout sonne écho...

Veiny steaks, terrible squash cinnamon soup & mushy fish & chips. Understaffed, had our drinks after meal was finished. Had to hunt for salt, pepper & condiments.

Bonne & belle expérience. Tout d'abord, une mention spéciale pour notre serveur Thomas qui a rendu notre première expérience forte agréable. Ensuite, les huîtres à 1$ qui étaient excellentes, surtout à ce prix. La qualité des autres plats choisis (escargots en coquilles & fish & ship) & leur présentation étaient très bonne aussi. Je n'ai franchement rien à dire de négatif, on y retournera assurément.

Très belle soirée! Beau décor! Serveur sympathique à l'écoute. Les drinks sont bons!
Tout ce qu'on mangé était délicieux (calmars, burrata, risotto forestier, fish&chips, tartare & pieuvre). Le hic, & c'est ce qui a causé la perte de la cinquième étoile, c'est la portion de la pieuvre reçue comparativement à la photo montrée sur le site Internet... Peut-être modifier la photo, ou la portion, serai une bonne idée pour éviter les déceptions.

Belle présentation des plats: le fish & chips servi sur une grande planche de bois était savoureux. Le risotto forestier était à tomber à la renverse. Portion généreuse. Service courtois & souriant..malgré le masque.

Accueil excellent. Le personnel est très attentif à faire respecter les consignes de distanciation & du port du masque.
Le fish & chips était trop cuit & les portions de côtes levées étaient bonnes mais trop généreuses.
Le mille-feuilles ne ressemblait pas à un mille-feuilles traditionnel. Nous n'avons pas aimé.
Le service était excellent.

J'ai pris le fish & chips & quoique très bon, j'ai trouvé la panure grasse. Sinon tout le reste du menu est parfait. & le service hier soir était top top top! Merci à notre serveur (reconverti car travaillait pour Air Canada; covid oblige) il m'a épatée, moi qui de nature est un peu difficile. Très satisfaite.

I was stumped for a place to eat on Christmas eve, as is my habit, & I came once again upon the web site of Labarake & said why not. It was a little out of our way, in an area I know little about. The fact the reference point was Loblaw's at the Angus yrads did not inspire great things at first. What a beautiful room. The high loft like cement ceilings the wrought iron stair cases, the brick walls (that look a little too perfect). So the room is great the tables are properly sized in my opnion but the seating has fixed backs & the chairs are too heavy for me to find a comfortable position. It should be said this is my issue.
We had a cocktail & I was happy to not to have to explain what a white russian is.After a few sips & a closer look at my guests quite provocative clothing I took a minute to look over the surroundings. Tables to the front the semi-open kitchen onto the back & left, very visible on the way to the WCs...quite clean I must say & the bar to the back which I find is misplaced, preferiingto see the bar closer to the entrance.
Our waiter was great he actually took the trouble to greet me by my name.
We began witha wine & unfortunately one of our guests prefers white so I did end up ordering something that really was not matched up with anything we had. Again I am rather unconventional & difficult so no shame on the waiter who had t bear with my questions.For the food. We ordered the cod balls on a stick, the scallops wrapped in ham & the calamari.
Everything speaks about first class ingredients & freshness. The scallops were well cooked & beuatifuly presented on a rather large plate. The italian ham was a tad undercooked for my tastes ( Ilke it crispy although that would mean an overcooked scallop). The cod balls again were well balanced but underseasoned with the salsa even more so. They also were cold which took away from the flavour. The calamari were good with teh fish again very fresh tasting. The batter was less that crisp possibly becasue they we sitting one over the others. The portion was also a little small.
For mains I had a hamburger which was well cooked well seasoned & had enough fries on the side to make McDonald's jealous. My partner's fisha nd chips again had a terrific quali†y fish but the batter was a little too thick & not crispy. A tempura batter would do justice to the fish they used. I did not taste the beef jowl but was give the thumbs up on this dish.
Just tweak the food a little

nice trendy resto in the rosemont petite-patrie burrough. price affordable. we arrived with no reservations, & the staff were kind enough to find a place for us in no time. the waiter Federick, was courtious & good expertise with food & wine paring.I had the fish & chips accompanied with tartare sauce & biere noir a l'erable.my partner had the CÔTE COURTE « SHORT RIB » À LA BORDELAISE (PURÉE DE POMME DE TERRE & CHAMPIGNONS SAUTÉS. both portions were average,however if you have a big appetite, order & entree.I would return to dine at the terrace.
