La Vieille Banque Restaurant opened in 1984 in the former Provincial Bank of Canada building, in Old Sainte-Rose. Originally renowned for its wood-oven pizza, the chef transformed the establishment into an Italian fine cuisine restaurant in 1995.
It is a happy coincidence that the safe was converted into a kitchen, keeping the most audacious creations of its chef secure! Today, the restaurant is very popular for its terrace and warm atmosphere, in beautiful Old Sainte-Rose. Be it during the many festivals overlooking the boulevard (Rose-Art festival, children's festival, etc.), or after a leisurely walk along the Mille-Îles River, the inquisitive ones who stop inevitably end their pleasant day in an excellent way.

via LibroDisappointed for the first time. Of the group of 8, the 3 that ordered the veal ended up scraping the very acidic tomato sauce off of the meat. The meat was tender & tasty but drowned in the extreme tomato flavour. Those who ordered the Osso buco raved about the dish as did thiose who had the lasagna. Our waitress, Julie, is a superstar & would be our reason for returning as well as great meals on previous evenings.

via LibroEvery part of the meal was a treat. Octopus was exceptional. Clams felt like we were back in Italy. The veal was tender with a succulent brown sauce. The linguini entree was absolutely delicious. Margaritas were somewhat on the small side but enjoyable. Our delightful server, Julie's smile & good cheer added to a perfect dining experience.

Went there for the first time for valentine's day,
Great little restaurant, super service from the time we got in to the time we left.
