The waitresses weren't very friendly & took a long time to serve us: a friend of mine asked for a fork instead of chopsticks, & the soup went from hot to lukewarm. They should offer a wider selection of noodles. The broth is excellent, & the ingredients (especially the seafood) are very fresh.
A great twist on a familiar concept. Call it hot pot, or soup noodle, it is a fun new spot & deserves to be highly rated. The establishment is clean, many choices for your personal bowl, great drinks & nice touch with the ice cream. Service is really fantastic & friendly. Expect to pay a small premium but, given you get exactly what you want, it is worth it.
Des glaces gratuites sont incluses :) Merci Claire pour ton service exceptionnel !!
First time ever having malatang & it was an amazing experience everything was delicious & so many options. The place is so cute & clean & the service is great.
Loved everything
Super fun experience & you get a great deal for what you're getting. $20 a bowl, yes, but that can be a bunch of shrimp & duck breast. Went with the classic base & it was delicious.
Went there with friends. Honestly a bit underwhelming… I took the dry base & it was basically the ingredients I chose boiled with sesame sauce & chili oil thrown on… Not worth the 30+ I paid for. They give free ice cream at the end which is nice.
Montréal has always been weaker in comparison to Toronto & Vancouver when it comes to good Asian food. I'm very glad that is slowly changing with many new fantastic establishments opening up, & one of the front runner in bringing this change is La Soupiere Malataang.
This is a truly incredible place. The raw meat selection is fantastic & very fresh. The vegetable options are decent but nothing to write home oabout. The meat selection is on the other hand is good. The broth options are fantastic too & they are incredibly rich & full bodied.
As a torontonian native & having tried Malataang in Toronto, I am happy that Montreal probably has one of the best Malataang restaurant between the both cities.
The drinks are great. The milk tea is an underrated cheat code in the city. For 3.99 it beats out many other milk tea spots in its vicinity.
The servers are incredible, extremely professional & will go out of their way to accommodate you fully. They are always checking in on you & serving you with a smile.
I really hope they can keep their early momentum going for a very long time.
