We loved the variety of soup bases, & the extensive selection of ingredients. Everything's of the highest quality & freshness. So far I've tried two broths: laksa & tom yum. Both are good & I give the laska the edge. I customize the base further by adding sesame paste & spicy soy sauce from the bar for extra umami. The format has something for everyone (including vegetarians) & the outcome is pure deliciousness.

Tried their new rose sauce & also the bone broth. Bone broth was flavourful & was very delicious. The rose was also good if you are looking for a sauce base instead of soup. However it did take 4-5 minutes longer to come out compared to the bone broth.

I would suggest having a base in mind before choosing your ingredients.

The ingredients selection was very wide & had lots of premium options. There is a lot of seafood, crayfish, squid, abalone, cuttlefish, shrimp, mussel & scallops. I would recommend getting their surf clams! It is more expensive than other Malatang spots at 4.49/100g but soup base is included.

Service was good & ordering is straightforward. It's nice that everyone can choose what they want in their bowl.

The experience was great & intuitive. Getting to create your own mini hot pot with ingredients you want was nice & the price was fair. The miso & mala broths were really good, there were a lot of ingredients to choose from & it had a decent sauce bar to compliment your meal. The servers were friendly but it's a little diffiucult to flag them down because they don't really check tables. Overall, it was a great experience with delicious food & we will come back again.

This Is what my fifth time coming here it's AMAZING the atmosphère is incredible it's so cozy & such a good calm spot especially with friends.HITS way better.THE food is INCREDIBLE.super juicy & taste very fresh.THE portions are very good & for the price, in this economy 🥹👌.Now something I would like to mention is the staff THEY ARE SO NICE precisely, JULINE & VIVIANE. THEY R SOOO SWEET very respectful. I don't think I ever met employées that nice I really do wish they get promoted.They give suggestion on what broths they have a great energy too.overall this place is a MUST GOOO!!!!❤??🩹❤??🩹

Absolutely delicious!
If you love Malatang, this place is a must-visit. The ingredients are incredibly fresh, & the broth is rich & flavorful. A special shoutout to Vivian for being so welcoming & helpful! Excellent food & amazing service. Will definitely come back!

I ordered the No. 9 broth. It was pretty good, though I think it could be a bit tastier. Mei was really friendly & helpful, she introduced us to the restaurant & guided us through the menu. Thanks, Mei! ☺?

Their meat & veggie selection is good. They also keep the food section pretty neat & tidy. I personally like the Szechuan Sauce which seems to be a mix of sesame sauce & chilli oil.

My only point of critique is that their broth recipe is not consistent. I received my dish too salty a couple of times now. But, I have also ordered the same thing before where it came out just perfect.

Would love for it to be more consistently balanced!

?I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience here. They offer an exceptional variety of fresh ingredients for curation, ranging from pork, beef, fish, crab, & chicken to fresh vegetables, noodles, & octopus. Once you select your ingredients, they are expertly prepared & served in your choice of customized broth (you pay based on the ingredients weight, almost 5$ per 100g).
?A helpful tip for first-timers: the soup retains heat incredibly well & takes a long time to cool down. If you want to enjoy your meal right away without the wait, opting for the dry sauce style is an excellent alternative. My only minor critique regards the octopus; because all ingredients are cooked together for the same duration, it came out a bit undercooked & chewy for my taste. However, everything else was absolutely outstanding & well.
?The ambiance is cozy, welcoming, & comfortable, complemented by a genuinely kind & attentive staff. They offer complimentary ice cream at the end of the meal, a delicious, refreshing palate cleanser that is absolutely perfect after a hot & spicy bowl.

One of the best new spots in Montréal - fresh ingredients, bold broths, & a fun build-your-own concept that never disappoints. Friendly staff, great milk tea, & free ice cream at the end make it an easy recommendation!
