Compared to the USA middle eastern experience.the bill even with the sadly bad exchange rate is exorbitant & shameful the fish that is there pride was tasteless & with no sauces nor sides. The bill was exorbitant & add to that the ridiculous sale tax & the tip also is expected to be added to this ridiculous price makes it a painful dining Experience even for the well off client.sadly montreal is loosing its old reputation of a good nice affordable dining experience to mediocre painful super expensive & unattractive city to dine at .sorry Montreal 🥲🥲🥲🥲 & as a critical snd consumer very friendly reviewer I rate this place 4 for atmosphere but overall a 1 star for value for your money .
I've been going to La Sirène for over 20 years & it has never once disappointed. This restaurant is truly exceptional & has become a real Montreal institution.
The food is always outstanding - incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, & remarkably consistent. Their fish market is easily one of the best in Montreal, offering exceptional quality seafood every time.
What also makes this place stand out is the service. Many members of the staff have been there for years, & they are incredibly attentive & well-trained. They genuinely remember their clients, their preferences, & their needs, which makes every visit feel personal & welcoming.
The owner is also very present, friendly, & attentive, which contributes greatly to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
Whether for lunch or dinner, La Sirène consistently offers exceptional food & service. If you are looking for one of the best & most reliable dining experiences in Montreal, this restaurant truly delivers every single time.
La Sirène de la Mer is an absolute gem for seafood lovers. This is an authentic Lebanese restaurant that truly captures the rich flavors & traditions of Lebanese coastal cuisine. The fish is incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, & beautifully presented. The grilled shrimp & whole sea bream were tender, juicy, & full of flavor. The mezze selection is fresh & generous, adding even more authenticity to the experience. The service is warm, attentive, & welcoming, making you feel like family from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is charming & relaxing. Highly recommended for delicious, fresh seafood & genuine Lebanese hospitality.
We were really disappointed with our experience. The food is just not the same anymore & lacks flavor. We ordered a wide variety of dishes - meat, fish, appetizers, & salads - hoping at least some would stand out, but unfortunately everything was quite bland & not tasty.
On top of that, the service was also disappointing.
This restaurant is not what it used to be. The quality of both the food & the service has clearly gone down. Sadly, we won't be coming back.
Fantastic quality fresh fish & whole foods. Perfect for groups & family affairs. The cheese phyllo appetizer is incomparable. I highly recommend getting all the dips
About 100 bucks per person. The grilled octopus was bitter, & the salt-baked fish (around $160 per kilo) was just okay-more for the presentation than the taste. We came because google map said there was Tesla charging, but turns out there wasn't any haha.
Ive been twice at LA Sirena .Always the best Fresh Fish choices. The Meat Hummus delicious 😋 Tabule etc etc I definitely recommend this place 👌

La Sirène de la Mer is a Lebanese seafood restaurant. Located off the beaten path, it is worth a detour.
The restaurant is bright, spacious & clean, it features floor to ceiling windows which brings in a natural light. Service is formal, with white table cloth & uniformed waiters.
The menu showcases mainly seafood but not only, prepared in Lebanese, Eastern Mediterranean style, with fresh pita bread as an opener. We ordered fish & it was good. Portions were generous.
In addition to the restaurant, which is on the left side of the building, the right side of La Sirène de la Mer hosts a fresh seafood store, with a good variety of fresh fish & seafood, including live lobster.
The service, the food & the desserts, which were more distinctly Lebanese, Eastern Mediterranean in nature, were all delicious. The side order of truffle fries we added to our selection were also very tasty, perfectly done.
This is a good spot for special occasions.
Honestly, this place blew me away! The moment we walked in, we felt welcomed like family. The seafood is so fresh you can actually pick your own fish & they cook it perfectly mine was juicy & full of flavor. The mezze dishes were amazing (the hummus is to die for), & the dessert wow, the halawet el jibn is worth the trip alone. The staff were kind, attentive, & made us feel at home the whole night. The atmosphere is elegant but still warm & cozy. This is the kind of restaurant you remember & can't wait to come back to.
