La Medusa comes across as a warmly welcoming Italian spot in downtown Montreal, offering fresh, well prepared dishes that cover pasta, seafood, pizza and antipasti, plus a strong wine list. Reviews consistently note friendly, attentive service and a lively, family friendly ambiance that suits pre or post game outings near Centre Bell. The food is described as authentic Italian and often excellent, with many praising the pizza crust, the pasta textures and flavorful sauces, though a few mentions call out a risotto that is too salty or prices that can be high. Some moments of slower service or busy nights are acknowledged, but the overall tone points to a reliable favorite worth returning to, including interest in private dining spaces for celebrations. Overall the place is regarded as one of the top Italian options in the area, delivering consistent flavors, helpful staff, and an atmosphere that makes diners feel at home in the city.
This cozy two floor hallway of a restaurant gave you the feeling like you were at a distant relative's fancy cocktail dinner & it was invite only - listen, I can't say if I liked the soup or the pizza more, but I will say that I think it was the best pizza experience. I don't know how they managed to have a sweet, savoury, salty, umami, & spicy flavour (in that order) in one pizza, but they made it work. The chef even came out to ask me how it was tasting (going the extra mile)! I'm all about repping local eats that deserve a little more love for what they do, & La Medusa is a Montreal GEM! Until the next
We were a table of 8 & we all enjoyed the food, service & ambiance! We LOVED the staff, just all super pleasant & hilarious! Always a great feeling to have service delivered with a sense of humor ;) Thank you for a great experience!
Absolutely horrible experience. Make a romantic reservation. Be seated next to the kitchen with a worker drying & clinging flatware.
Serve with an attitude when asked to explain the dish. Have to ask for flatware but only get partial. Move ourselves to another table. Entrees come before appetizers.
Staff saw " so how is everything?".
Don't waste your time on this place!
Bonne nourriture.
Donc, allez ailleurs 😊
Our server took care of everything for us. We let him pick the wine & food & we could not had any better. Fantastic service & the food was absolutely superb.
