While in town for the Campus Stores Canada Conference, my company sponsored a reception at La Medusa in downtown Montreal, & the impeccable customer service left a lasting impression, with a staff that was attentive, friendly & went above & beyond. The ambiance was delightful, complemented by a tasteful decor that added to the overall experience. As for the food, every dish was a culinary masterpiece, showcasing the authentic flavors of Italian cuisine. From appetizers to desserts, La Medusa demonstrated culinary excellence. Our event was elevated by this extraordinary dining experience, making it a memorable occasion & highly recommended for those seeking a perfect blend of exceptional service & delectable Italian cuisine in the heart of Montreal.
Bonjour, tout d'abord, le restaurant n'avait pas notre réservation malgré le fait que nous avions la confirmation par courriel avec votre système.
Une fois notre repas terminé (18h15), nous avons voulu prendre un café & un dessert & ils nous ont refusé. Ils nous ont demandé cavalièrement de nous en aller car il y avait d'autres personnes qui attendaient.
Je n'irai plus jamais à ce restaurant.

Nous avons été déçues de l'attitude du serveur à la fin du service. Aucun autre verre n'a été offert une fois le repas terminé, aucun dessert ou café non plus. Celui-ci a tassé les billets d'argent afin de voir le montant laissé en pourboire...
Ils ne prennent pas les réservations par internet.
RESTAURANT LA MÉDUSA (CENTRE-VILLE DE MONTRÉAL). Bouffe italienne excellente, rien à redire là-dessus. Mais nous avons été très mal accueillis & ils nous ont fait sentir qu'on n'était vraiment pas les bienvenus. Très mauvais service « obligé », une attitude de marde-fendante-pédante-hautaine & bourrée de préjugés même si « l'habit ne fait pas le moine »... Nous avons eu la pire table du resto directement dans l'entrée très passante de la cuisine, malgré qu'il y avait seulement deux autres clients dans le resto ! Le service était plus que pitché, on a été là une heure au total (deux drinks chaque, un plat principal chaque & mon dessert de fête m'a même été facturé !!). La serveuse devrait apprendre à 1. Connaître son menu, 2. Fermer sa grand'yeule de Bitchy-qui-connaît-tout-à-22-ans, 3. Arrêter de dire n'importe quoi & donner son avis (si j'avais voulu ton avis, je te l'aurais demandé), 4. Finalement, trouver une autre job. ENWEILLE MANGE PIS DÉCÂLISSE MALGRÉ UNE FACTURE TOTALE DE $200 ! Donc, allez ailleurs 😊
This restaurant dropped the ball so many times & didn't do a thing to course-correct. They didn't have my reservation, which means they didn't get the note that it was my birthday. They took our order & 35 minutes later we had to ASK for bread, while tables next to us that got there later were being served their mains. 10 minutes went by (50 minutes after we walked in the restaurant) & the entre that the waiter upsold us was a mystery. I had to ask them how much longer we were supposed to wait. Minor detail, but during this time the staff could have cared to refill our glasses of wine, offer apologies. Nothing. Food finally arrived after an hour spent there. Pasta was undercooked. One thing is al dente, & another thing is raw crunchy pasta. Carbonara sauce here was scrambled egg whites on pasta water. Then the bill came. We were charged $8 for tap water. We weren't even OFFERED dessert; I guess they knew how badly we wanted to leave. They sat us next to a TV. They played the same Laura Pausini song over 8 times. This restaurant is a nightmare. My partner & I keep fantasizing about Gordon Ramsey recording a Kitchen Nightmares episode in here. The staff was so nice, we tipped accordingly. But the ower of this restaurant needs to do a hefty chunk of self reflection if he doesn't want his restaurant to fail.
A fantastic experience. This family owned & operated restaurant hits a home run. From the ambiance to the dessert, everything works. Staff (mostly family) are all friendly & knowledgeable. The wine suggestion was perfect. The food was to die for. From one foodie to another this is definitely worth a visit. Don't pay attention to OLD REVIEWS that had issues, they have all been addressed.

C'est un très bon restaurant italien, les pâtes & le veau était délicieux. Un bon café & canolis en dessert. Seul point négatif : on nous charge l'eau plate. Normalement à Montréal, on sert l'eau courante sans frais & ce n'était pas une bouteille neuve mais bien une carafe réutilisable. J'y retournerais quand même car tout le reste était bien, mais ce serait à revoir d'offrir clairement entre l'eau courante gratuite ou embouteillée.
If you want an authentic Italian experience I highly recommend going to La Medusa. The food, the staff, the service, & the atmosphere make it one of the best restaurants in Montreal if not Eastern Canada. I am from Vancouver & make sure I reserve a night here for dinner with clients when I come to town. They carry an excellent wine list at all price levels. Homemade pastas are old family recipes. The homemade desserts - cannolis & tiramisu - are worth saving some room for. The veal & steak dishes melt in your mouth. My biggest challenge is trying to decide what to eat - it is all so so good!!!
First timer & was not disappointed. Should I say I was extremely pleased. In a word, fantastic! From the warm greeting, to the delicious meal, to the mouth watering dessert & the top notch grappa. We enjoyed every part of this meal. Love the vibe of the place & the grilled calamari salad is other worldly. Wether your a local or a tourist this place is a must!

A great location with a very pleasant & welcoming atmosphere. The menu provides a great selection & the food is expertly prepared. There is a comprehensive wine list to help round out your meal. The selection of gelato flavors is excellent, so leave room for dessert! La Medusa will not disappoint!
Nous avons très bien mangé, tout était excellent de l'entrée à la pizza dessert 💕. Le personnel est chaleureux & attentif à nos besoin sans se prendre trop au sérieux ! Nous y retournerons certainement !
Everything about this restaurant was amazing. From the service to the food to the dessert . Veal & lamb chops were amazing so tender & cooked to perfection. . The Pasta cavitelli was amazing & cooked Dante just the way I like it. I will definitely be back .
