We went on Friday with my husband craving butter chicken & this place did not disappoint. The prices are very reasonable & the food is absolutely delicious.
I'm totally addicted to the naan honestly, it's insanely good. The mango juice was also so yummy. The service was fast, & the two waitresses were very nice & kind.
First time & I was very impressed. Very friendly, the food was delicious. The lamb Madras was perfectly tender & nice & spicy. Naan was great too. Nice atmosphere.

Went with my girlfriend for the first time yesterday, on a friday night. We both read a ton of one star reviews, as we usually do, before going. We were completely confused once there because the most''relevant'' complaints were so inaccurate it was almost funny. Here are exemples;
1. No service in french: The staff greeted us in french right at the door & insisted on speaking french to us even when we told them we are bilingual.
2. Wait time: The food was ready ridiculously fast.
3. Price & serving size: We took a combo #4 for 2. Cost about 40$ before taxes without tip. We had to take 3/4 of it home because we almost killed ourselves trying to finish it.
4. Opening hours: People say they turn people around at 9p.m. but while we were there, the waitress was still setting up fresh new tables at 9h expecting people to come in.
5. Presentation: Everything came in beautiful dishes, the chicken tandoori was served on a hot plate, still sizzling hot, like something out of a Michelin star restaurant.
Now a lot of people complained about the butter chicken. Let me tell you about the butter chicken.
That thing was so good, I was genuinely annoyed I could not finish it all at my table. I am not making a joke here, that night, through my dreams I would keep thinking about butter chicken. I woke up today & I just couldn't wait for lunch to finish it.
& to describe how good the naan was is not even worth trying with actual words, you'll just have to taste it.
TL;DR
Long story short, do not even bother reading the one star reviews. Something is wrong with those people.
Dès l'entrée au Mantra, on est enveloppé par une atmosphère chaleureuse, élégante & empreinte de tradition. Les arômes d'épices indiennes nous transportent immédiatement ailleurs - un véritable voyage des sens.
L'ambiance est raffinée, apaisante, avec une décoration soignée mêlant modernité & culture indienne. Une musique douce en fond complète parfaitement l'expérience.
Côté cuisine, c'est tout simplement exceptionnel. Chaque plat est savoureux, généreux & préparé avec soin. Le poulet au beurre est onctueux & parfaitement assaisonné, l'agneau est tendre à souhait!
Le naan à l'ail est croustillant à l'extérieur & moelleux à l'intérieur . Un incontournable.
Le service est impeccable : souriant, attentionné & toujours prêt à conseiller selon vos goûts ou votre tolérance aux épices. On se sent vraiment bien accueilli.
Que vous soyez amateur de longue date ou curieux de découvrir la cuisine indienne, Le Mantra est une adresse à ne pas manquer à Longueuil. Une cuisine authentique, un service irréprochable & une ambiance unique - hautement recommandé ! 8.7/10!
Excellent rapport qualité-prix, la bouffe est très bonne pour un prix très raisonnable. Rien de fancy mais parfait pour un bon repas copieux! Naan & agneau délicieux!
The food is delicious. The naans & the curries are fresh! The combos are a very good deal & a great way to try many of the menu items. We order at least 2-3 times a month & so far it has been great. Their service is quick & they serve authentic Indian food. One of the best indian restaurant. A must try!
Tout étais très très bon j'ai étais vraiment surpris. Le seul bémol que j'ai pus observer & goûté ces le poulet au beurre je trouve qu'il goûte beaucoup la tomate & pas assez les épices indiennes puis il n'étais pas épicé (Piquant) rien n'étais piquant j'ai rester surpris maisa femme étais bien contente. Pakoras poulet & légumes étais très bon mais honnêtement celui au légumes étais extraordinaire honnêtement chapeaux. Le palak paneer étais a tomber par terre super bon goût d'épice Indienne le poulet tandoori avec les oignons rouge wow j'ai rien a dire très bon & le pain naan clairement le meilleur en ville selon moi 🤷♂️ Merci on va recommandé a 100% J'ai commandé le combo numéro 4 & ça m'a coûté 46$ sur uber vraiment pas cher pour tout ça selon moi même le riz blanc étais très bon léger goût de riz de Jasmin.
Une belle découverte. Je suis de Longueuil & je ne connaissais pas ce resto. Tout est excellent. De la cuisine indienne maison parfaite. Les combos pour 2 sont des excellents choix. Je vais y retourner c'est certain & je vais même en acheter pour apportez à la maison. Le pain naan est fait maison aussi. L'ambiance est sympathique sans flafla. Bonne idée pour les montréalais, c'est à 5 min de la sortie du pont Jacques-Cartier & tu peux te stationner devant la porte, pas besoin de chercher un parking pendant une heure & payer 25$.

This is a review for their Uber delivery. ( not the restaurant experience) Let's start with the good: naan bread & the Chana samosa. Now the bad: I ordered two butter chicken, pilau rice & gulab jamun. The butter chicken looks all weird ( almost pink in color) & it was tasteless. ( i even asked for medium spicy in my notes) I added some chili oil for flavour, otherwise, it was just a sad mess. The rice was just plain basmati & not "pilau". It's false advertising. The gulab Jamuns looks burnt, but after looking at the restaurant pics, I guess it's just how they make it...? ( not very appetizing tbh) Needless to say, we won't order from here again via Uber eats.
Meilleur restaurant indien! Les prix sont encore raisonnables. Un excellent souper pour deux avec trois plats différents, un bol riz, deux ansgros pain naan & 1/2 litre de vin très bien : 75$ + pourboire.
Je vais toujours manger dans ce restaurant pendant mes heures de dîner pour leur buffet a volonter que j'adore , leur pains naans , aloo gobi & surtout LEUR POULET AU BEURRE SUCRÉ !! Je recommande ce restaurant a tout le monde pendant les weekends il y a meme un danseuse du ventre qui vient animer la soirée parfait pour les celebrations .
Resto familial ,bouffe Indienne traditionelle . Un peu riche mais plein de saveur & très abordable . Sommes allés trois fois & le recommandons à tous . Pain naan chaud.....excellent . Poulet tandoori écoeurant (best ever) . Les pakoras aux oignons sont super ! BRAVO
