La Maison Verte is widely appreciated as a charming destination in the West Island, known for its cozy atmosphere, historic setting, and picturesque views of the water. Many guests frequently praise the high quality of the food, particularly highlighting the seafood, steak dishes, and tasting menus, while noting that the presentation is consistently beautiful. The service is often described as professional, friendly, and attentive, contributing to a welcoming environment that feels perfect for special celebrations, group events, or intimate meals. While some diners mention occasional issues with noise levels or timing during busier periods, the overall consensus reflects a high level of satisfaction with the dining experience and the welcoming nature of the staff.
We were visiting from the US & looking for a truly fine dining French experience & this surpassed all of our expectations!! We had the five course meal with wine pairings & each dish was beautifully executed with flawless flavor & presentation. The service was perfect...the staff friendly & knowledgeable & clearly passionate about their work. This was the absolute best meal we've had in many years & truly made our vacation!!
Came here for our 2 year Anniversary & it didn't disappoint. My wife & I started by sharing the house wine ($16 for half a litre). The value was absurd for Montreal restaurants & it was quite nice. Basically got 2 full glasses each. For our main, we shared 3 dishes: the wild surf & turf, the yellow beat salad & the goat cheese & veggie shortbread. The yellow beat salad was extremely delicious & very fresh. I would highly recommend it. Didn't love the goat cheese/veggie shortbread. Found there was not enough shortbread & it was mostly an arugula salad. The surf & turf was ABSOLUTELY delicious. The sauce they use for the deer really brings out the flavour, & the lobster tail was very fresh & tasty. My only complaint would be that it's quite small for the price point ($52). For dessert, we shared the chocolate cake with ice cream & hot peppers. It was really delicious & tasted exactly like cake & ice cream with a little kick. The peppers didn't overwhelm the dessert at all making this a very unique dessert. Service was really nice. Felt like we were the only ones here even though the restaurant was full on the inside. Didn't rush us at all but was also very present & pleasant.
Excellent food. Chef's plates are original & delicious. Gastronomical menu with wine pairing was delectable. Refined dining in a historical home. Service was perfect. Great location for romantic dinner.

Excellent food & pairing with wines. The duck confit was excellent. Duck pate was excellent as well. The trout gravlax was exceptional. Our main course was wild boar exceptional. Our waitress was great. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's well worth it 👌.
The food was excellent, however suggestion that a bread basket would be appreciated instead of only one bread per person. Firstly, our servers were there as soon as we sat. Very friendly & polite staff. We started with the snow crab raviolis, which was delicate & delicious. We then had a salad course, the golden beet salad was perfect, my friend had the caesar salad which was also very good. The main course took 45mins to get to the table after they removed our plates. We had no bread or anything to keep us busy, however the other tables around us had all been served, & they were larger tables, while we were only 2. The main dishes were also perfectly cooked when we did receive them, however they were lukewarm & the plates were piping hot. It was obvious that they were sitting at the window for a while. The duck was a perfect medium rare & delicious. The salmon was also prepared to perfection. The desserts were equally wonderful. Crème brulée & blueberry cheesecake. The noise level is quite high in certain sections. The wine by the glass wasn't even close to 5oz, at the most I was served maybe 4... All in all, we enjoyed the food, be prepared for a little wait between service.
La Maison Verte is a true gem, a place not to be missed by anyone who enjoys great food & wine in a cosy setting The food, be it the simple fish & chips or one of the specialties of the house like the bavette of beef in mushroom sauce, is great. Once you have experienced dining at La Maison Verte, La Maison Verte will be your restaurant of choice for any occasion.🌞
We were highly pleased with the level of client service orientation. The duck was exceptional & the suggested wine to accompany the meal was superb! Merci beaucoup & we look forward to visiting your restaurant in the future.
Third visit. Both took gastronomic menu. Five courses. Each one was delicious. Excellent quality food & beautifully presented. Five glasses of spirits & wines also really good. Service was perfect. Perfect evening in an elegant dining room. Thank you.
Exceptional service, food was devine & wine selection is excellent. Prices are reasonable!
The quality amazing. We were 11 adults Easter Sunday lunch. Some of us had soup starter, others had the salads. Our group each choose from the Easter menu...rabbit, lamb, filet mignon, halibut, homemade ravioli EVERYTHING was delicious!! Nonna, an exceptional cook, gave it 👍👍Our home away from home.
