Worth a 2nd visit but?...
I did not know what to expect from this African neighborhood restaurant.
Upon entering the decor is authentic & tastefully done. I was surprised that we had to remove our shoes & seated on small benches on the floor. I am very tall & it was not very comfortable. (I saw they have real tables & chairs in the adjacent room...I will ask for that the next time)
It was a fixed menu which included soup to start (tasty but luke warm. We shared a platter of the 3 main courses (beef, vegetable, chicken) served on top of couscous. The platter looked beautiful & all the dishes were tasty but I was looking for more authentic pronounced flavors. For dessert we were served little cookies with tea which once agin tasted good but was luke warm. I understand it was Mtl a Table & very busy but this is a chance for a restaurant to put their best foot forward. I will return to give it a second try to see if it will be better because the food WAS good & service of the owners was very friendly & caring.

Atmosphère dépaysante & exotique. Accueil chaleureux suivi d'un repas copieux & savoureux. Merci au proprio-chef: une expérience fort agréable.

Very good service - the restaurant needs a little 'face-lift'...it's a little 'rough-around-the-edges'. Bathrooms are super tiny & need some work. The menu VERY simple with only 3 items which are all served together on a sharing plate over couscous. Home cooked style. It is a VERY busy spot for a so-so experience.

via LibroLa qualité de la nourriture est très bonne, j'étais avec un groupe de 7 personnes & tout le monde a aimé. La viande de boeuf & du poulet est tendre & délicieuse. Il y a plusieurs variétés de plats & c'est bon a partager pour gouter a tout.

via LibroTrès chaleureux. Délicieux menu typique, accompagné de thé d'hibiscus. Volonté de redonner à la Mauritanie. Avons adoré. Un des rares restaurants à Montréal où le bruit de fond est très faible. C'est une qualité rare pour un restaurant que d'offrir une atmosphère feutrée dénuée de bruit. Merci.
