I have read good things about the bagels in Montreal, but was disappointed here. My sesame bagel with salmon was premade & not fresh. I asked for a fresh toasted bagel & was told they are premade &
heated when ordered. The bagel was soft & chewy & lacked flavor. The price for two was not a value at $26 CN!View more
Stopped by on a road trip to Montreal, after scouting around for breakfast/brunch spots open before 9am. They were quite busy this morning with a group of hotel guests in & out of a sports event, but the service was good & were accommodating with our many questions.
We got the three meat with cheese, prosciutto & brie, & salmon & cream cheese bagels. Honestly, I love Montreal bagels more than New York style & these bagels hit the spot!
The juices are also so good! Recommend the strawberry & banana or raspberry juice for a non-smoothie, non-caffeinated pick me up.
There's not much seating outside the storefront or inside the building.View more
I'm not even a bagel person, but I came here because of its reputation. Walked 20 minutes in the cold wearing just a T-shirt (with some stops along the way, of course).
We had one Americano, one juice, & two bagels-each sliced in half to share.
The chicken & cheese bagel was rich & flavorful thanks to the salty cheese. The chicken had a slight sweetness to it. Once the bagel was heated, the sesame aroma really came through. One bite, & you'd feel it was worth traveling thousands of miles.
The other half was smoked salmon & avocado. Since the salmon was lightly seasoned, it couldn't be heated, so the bagel itself was a bit hard-but with each chewy bite, the salmon & avocado danced through, like fish swimming freely. The sesame seeds added an extra layer of texture-cold but stunningly flavorful.
The mixed juice (raspberry & mango) wasn't too sweet-very drinkable. At $7, it's even cheaper than the $7.20'Three Brothers' drink at CoCo nearby. Who's still buying CoCo?
The Americano? Honestly, I had low expectations. I mean, what would you expect from a bagel shop? But it was surprisingly good-rich in oils, medium-light roast, with clear tea notes & a touch of fruity acidity. Truly excellent.
Also, while lingering at the entrance watching people chat outside the shop, I jumped in to ask which flavor was the best. A white gentleman complimented me:
'Where did you get your Hermès scarf?'
-'In Douyin,' I replied.View more
Very tasty & dynamic bagels with local styles at a convenient location, but admittedly food is quite expensive, three bagels cost almost 40CAD, many of the materials are very cheap like the cheese & bagel etc, they are sufficiently supplied in nearby Intercontinental's 20CAD / room breakfast.
This amount of salmon & prosciutto are not worth 40CAD, but I'm happy to support local business that hires local people☺?View more
Amazing bagels , they are freshly cooked & are available in a big variety. Same things for the cream cheese ! They have so many choices !! Their sandwiches selection is also amazing, highly recommend their classique smoked salmon !View more
Salmon Bagel & coffee were very tasty but the bagel is very tiny for the price. Otherwise, I would give 5 stars.View more
I have passed by this Fabrique de Bagel inside le "Centre du Commerce Mondial", numerous times, an area that was created simply to be discovered. It is unique in its own way & if you are looking for taking breathtaking pictures inside a building, then look no further. Let's get back to bagels. There are bagels & then bagels. It was early morning on Saturday & the mere thought of sweet smell of freshly made bagel woke me up from my deep sleep. I went straight to the Fabrique de Bagel & the aroma of warm bread filling the air wrapped around me so softly, insisting that this must become a morning ritual. So many cream cheese variations - simply an "embarras du choix" that it took me over a minute to decide. I finally opted for the smoked salmon cream cheese on a sesame bagel. Service was very pleasant, fast & friendly. The bagel went through a revolving oven & eventually gets loaded with cream cheese. I think it was more like I ate cream cheese with bagel. The cream cheese was smooth, rich with the right hint of smoked salmon which melted perfectly in my warm bagel. There are a few tables & chairs that are close by that I can sit & have a bite to satisfy my craving. You will not look at bagels the same way, ever again. What I like about this place is the buzz, the cleanliness & the sophisticated atmosphere.View more
I tried several the salmon & bacon is my favorite. I like the way they prepare the salmon; it's not too salty & keeps the freshness of the salmon.View more
I recently visited La Fabrique de Bagel in Montreal & enjoyed a delightful breakfast. I ordered an everything bagel with herb cream cheese & salmon, which was a perfect combination of flavors. The bagel was fresh & had a nice chew, while the herb cream cheese added a lovely, subtle kick that complemented the smoked salmon perfectly. It was simple yet satisfying. I paired it with a cappuccino, which was smooth & well-balanced, with just the right amount of foam. The cozy atmosphere & friendly service made the experience even better. If you're looking for a tasty & no-fuss breakfast spot in Montreal, La Fabrique de Bagel is worth a visit.View more
i ordered a smoked salmon bagel & a plain bagel at 8am on a work day, both were tasty but i felt like they were kind of hard. for early morning bagels, i would've expected them to be a bit crunchier & fresher but i didn't mind it that much. overall, would definitely recommend for a quick breakfast or snack! i know my mom regularly buys their blueberry bagels to bring home (every week or so).View more
Honestly, without a doubt the best smoked salmon bagel I've had in Montreal. The salmon melted in my mouth, the cream cheese was incredibly fluffy, & the capers & bagel were extremely fresh. I will definitely be back.View more
The variety of bagels & options they offer is impressive. They make their bagels fresh, every morning; if you get there for breakfast, you can even order your bagel right out of the oven. You can choose from different flavors of cream cheese, jam, ham, turkey, bacon, avocado, cold-cuts, etc. They also offer fresh juices, granola bars, muffins, cookies, yogurt parfait, fruits, nuts, etc. I ordered smoked salmon bagel & enjoyed every bite of it.View more
Everytime I'm in Montreal's Trade Centre, I have to stop in at LFBM. It's characteristic & ambiance is so inviting. Their service is top notch. The girl at the cash with the nicest smile, Paula is super friendly. You can see the clients love her service. Their bagels are so delicious. Their bagel sandwiches are so fresh & there are so many different options to choose from. I have tried the smoked salmon, the pear & brie just to mention a few. Their smoothies are soooo good! Freshly made. I highly recommend this place. It's super clean, everything is fresh, & delicious. One visit is never enough!View more
