I have read good things about the bagels in Montreal, but was disappointed here. My sesame bagel with salmon was premade & not fresh. I asked for a fresh toasted bagel & was told they are premade &
heated when ordered. The bagel was soft & chewy & lacked flavor. The price for two was not a value at $26 CN!View more
Stopped by on a road trip to Montreal, after scouting around for breakfast/brunch spots open before 9am. They were quite busy this morning with a group of hotel guests in & out of a sports event, but the service was good & were accommodating with our many questions.
We got the three meat with cheese, prosciutto & brie, & salmon & cream cheese bagels. Honestly, I love Montreal bagels more than New York style & these bagels hit the spot!
The juices are also so good! Recommend the strawberry & banana or raspberry juice for a non-smoothie, non-caffeinated pick me up.
There's not much seating outside the storefront or inside the building.View more
As someone who lived in NYC I was skeptical at first, but bagels are pretty good & location is excellentView more
As a New Yorker, I came in with high bagel expectations-& while the famed Montreal bagel didn't quite hit the same high notes, I can still appreciate its charm. These are not your oversized, doughy deli bagels; they're smaller, denser, slightly sweet, & wood-fired for a subtle crisp. It felt more like a junior version of what I'm used to, but that's more about style than quality.
What really stood out was the service-warm, attentive, & efficient. My bagel was served hot, fresh from the oven, & paired with a generous tea selection that made for a cozy, unhurried breakfast.
All in all, while the bagel itself may not have sparked a flavor revolution for this New Yorker, the experience was authentically Montreal: warm, welcoming, & full of character. Worth a visit for the cultural experience alone.View more
The bagel was very dry & lacked flavor. I was quite disappointed & didn't even finish it. It was also disappointing to find out that the bagels aren't made fresh-they're all pre-prepared, which really affects the quality.View more
I'm not even a bagel person, but I came here because of its reputation. Walked 20 minutes in the cold wearing just a T-shirt (with some stops along the way, of course).
We had one Americano, one juice, & two bagels-each sliced in half to share.
The chicken & cheese bagel was rich & flavorful thanks to the salty cheese. The chicken had a slight sweetness to it. Once the bagel was heated, the sesame aroma really came through. One bite, & you'd feel it was worth traveling thousands of miles.
The other half was smoked salmon & avocado. Since the salmon was lightly seasoned, it couldn't be heated, so the bagel itself was a bit hard-but with each chewy bite, the salmon & avocado danced through, like fish swimming freely. The sesame seeds added an extra layer of texture-cold but stunningly flavorful.
The mixed juice (raspberry & mango) wasn't too sweet-very drinkable. At $7, it's even cheaper than the $7.20'Three Brothers' drink at CoCo nearby. Who's still buying CoCo?
The Americano? Honestly, I had low expectations. I mean, what would you expect from a bagel shop? But it was surprisingly good-rich in oils, medium-light roast, with clear tea notes & a touch of fruity acidity. Truly excellent.
Also, while lingering at the entrance watching people chat outside the shop, I jumped in to ask which flavor was the best. A white gentleman complimented me:
'Where did you get your Hermès scarf?'
-'In Douyin,' I replied.View more
They are in RESO/Underground. This was our second time. We had toasted sesame bagels with regular cream cheese, juice & coffee. Very decent food & kind service.View more
If you find yourself in downtown & craving a delicious & authentic bagel, I totally understand how important that is. This is the perfect spot for you!View more
Very tasty & dynamic bagels with local styles at a convenient location, but admittedly food is quite expensive, three bagels cost almost 40CAD, many of the materials are very cheap like the cheese & bagel etc, they are sufficiently supplied in nearby Intercontinental's 20CAD / room breakfast.
This amount of salmon & prosciutto are not worth 40CAD, but I'm happy to support local business that hires local people☺?View more

The shop is located in a beautiful building, which gives it an atmospheric vibe. They offer a wide variety of bagels, from ready-made bagel sandwiches to individual bagels with dips. I tried 3: the sesame bagel, everything bagel, & oat bagel, & they were all really good! However, as someone who is not a hardcore bagel fan, I did not find them particularly outstanding. I probably would not make a special trip just for them, but if I'm in the area again, I would definitely stop by to try one of their sandwiches.View more
