Very friendly service & delicious food! The croissants can also be ordered to go, highly recommend!
La Croissanterie Figaro feels like a little slice of Paris in Montreal. The vintage decor & cozy atmosphere make it the perfect spot to relax. Their croissants are incredibly buttery & flaky, & the coffee pairs perfectly. Friendly service! Definitely worth a visit!
Those who imagine this place has anything to do with Paris must have only been to France as tourists. Very average (but nice looking!) café catering to Mile End anglos. Enjoy, if that's your idea of a nice outing.
Superbe petite endroit très français. La terrasse est agréable mais l'intérieur est magnifique & vous fera sentir comme dans un café de Paris. Prix raisonnable & services impeccable
Let's do the good stuff first. It's got great atmosphere. Like really great. Like being transported to a Parisian arrondissement great. The viennoiserie looks really pretty. The pastries are reheated. That's a trick to make them better. I ordered a croissant with jam. The jam that arrived was Smuckers. A little peel the top off plastic container that you get at diners. The cutlery was dirty. Like disgusting dirty that it reminded me of when my Chinese grandmother used to wash the chopsticks at restaurants in hot tea. The good news is that the pain au chocolate my wife had was « buttery » which is what happens when you put it in the oven. Nothing wrong with warming up French pastries. It's a great way to make mediocre pastries pretty good. My croissant was mediocre but heated to make it pretty okay. But it was small. I like small buttery croissants. But mostly ones that are well done by talented & determined bakers. Who would kill or die at the sight of their creations being served with Smuckers. I ordered a café au lait. Which is usually a delicious coffee drink with texture & the sweetness of a good milk. Not here. This was more akin to a double double from Timmy's but not as sweet. I didn't drink much of it. I mentioned it to the waitress who asked about the food - after we ate it. She looked at my barely touched café au lait & I told her in no uncertain terms it was the worst I've had in my life. To be clear I've had worse coffee beverages but this was the worst café au lait. She said she would mention it. Waited forever for the bill. The café au lait was still on the bill. She presented me with the machine to pay & the lowest tip option was a whopping 18% which is the norm but was about $4.00. I stared at the machine & felt bad as I pressed no tip. I felt bad because the server probably needs the money in the typical cheque is small. But the tip is a way to make things right if the product isn't commensurate with the price. Save your money. Cross the street to Rumi where I had an amazing delicious brunch.
Un superbe endroit. On se croirait dans un coin de Paris début 20e. Joli menu, plats bien apprêtés & service avenant. Parfait pour le brunch.
I had a coffee & tarte aux pommes at this gorgeous café on a lovely, quiet street & felt transported to Paris. The service was so friendly too. I highly recommend this destination if you visit Mile End.
Un joyau! Un morceau de France à Montréal. One of my favourite spot! Beautiful Paris feel.
Very cute decor, comfy setting, chill neighborhood & accessible with a frequent bus route passing by, totally recalling an era past & my time living in Paris. That said the latte was sooooo disappointing. Zero taste. Over heated. Only drank it because I paid for it. I was so disappointed at the coffee honestly.
Neighborhood terrasse for your coffee, croissant & anything in between. I’ve been to this place over the past decade & the service has always been consistently great. I’ve had a chance to try many things on their menu & it’s always a place where we may end up choosing to soak up the sun, have a French lunch, have a special for dinner, have a late night snack (it closes late) or even have a late coffee/ wine & dessert. The menu is long but I’ve always liked their gondole chicken sandwich, their carrot juice & their almond croissant. The inside is art deco Paris & it feels like you’re sitting in Europe. The outside is full of vividly colored flowers & is probably one of the places in the area that gets the most sun. I suggest you go there & try it even if it’s just for a glass of wine.
