taco(112) recommend(26) mexican(21) guacamole(19) churros(19) brisket(18) pastor(18) lunch(16) quesadilla(15) drink(15) soup(15) cocktail(14)We visited La Cantina this Friday for Happy Hour, which is supposed to run from 5pm - 10pm Monday to Friday according to their TABLE RESERVATION site, which people use to reserve tables. The only reason we chose this specific place was their Happy Hour which promised us $3 shots & $10 cocktails. When we got there, after ordering our drinks the waitress told us there's no Happy Hour because it ended at 7pm. We tried to tell her that we have different info from one of their websites to which we got a simple'it's not correct. the manager said so.' which is totally fine, but at least make the information the same across your platforms. Extremely disappointed in our night because of this situation, even though the tacos were amazing.
This is a truly Mexican Restaurant. We were a party of 7 & shared entrees of chips & guacamole, chips & Salsa & chips & bean cheese all three were excellent. I had the deep fried Brisket Tacos(4) covered with Cheese & slaw. I am sorry I did not take a photo of all the food as they all looked delicious & there was no complaints from anyone😀
Great atmosphere, but this is not the pinnacle of great tacos.
The guacamole was flat, lacking salt & any lime. The salsa fresco tasted like it was made from canned San Marzano tomatoes, it tasted very reminiscent of uncooked marinara sauce.
The cocktails are quite well made & honestly beyond reproach!
La nourriture était excellente! Je me suis senti à Riviera Maya. Je retournerai assurément.
great atmosphere! & the service was really nice. but unfortunately the food we ordered had alot of cheese. its sucks for me to write this as I had a great experience a while ago & I held them is high regard.
A good spot for Mexican food downtown! The dishes are flavorful & authentic, & the service is friendly. I'd love to see more dessert options like tres leches or flan, & it would be great if they added traditional drinks like jamaica or horchata to their menu. All in all, this is a decent spot for anyone craving Mexican cuisine downtown. With just a couple of tweaks, it could be even better!
Best thing about the place is the reflex machine, I'll come back for it
