Our family is proud to share our passion with you. From generation to generation, La Campagnola has never stopped growing and refining itself.
La Campagnola first started in 1981 as a small Deli in the area, then in 1995, became a more popular sandwich shop (Camps), to later transform itself into a Bring Your Own Wine restaurant in 1999 with recognized homemade specialties throughout Montreal. In 2009, we decided to start aging quality canadian beef to add to our menu.
Living in a changing world, the kitchen must follow this wave of change and renewal, so in 2018 we push our limits and standards to make you discover our new culinary experience of Italian Steakhouse, without forgetting our authentic tasty dishes.
Through all these years, our priority is to make our customers have a unique experience every time. Your satisfaction is very important to us.
Thank you to all our dedicated food lovers for your continuous encouragement.
Dino, Joe and La Campagnola Team
La Campagnola also offers private rooms and a catering service.
Reviews paint La Campagnola as a warm BYOW Italian steakhouse where steaks, pasta and octopus are frequently highlighted for quality, with many noting generous portions, tasty appetizers, and a welcoming, attentive staff; the atmosphere is described as friendly and lively, suitable for families and celebrations, although some comments mention that the space can become quite loud during busy evenings and that service can vary at peak times; overall guests appreciate great value for the quality, the option to bring your own wine, and the consistent effort to make diners feel at home.
Was our first time & really enjoyed our dinner. We took the waitress's recommendation & the steak was spectacular. The home made pasta was delicious. Bring your own wine was a bonus. Will highly recommend for special occasion. The staff was great & friendly
I was a customer for many many years we had so many birthday parties, & we would always go for a wonderful dinner with friends, because of the ambiance & personalized service, & we were always greeted as if we were part of a wonderful italien family. It was for me the best restaurant in LaSalle they would bring little extras entrees before ordering & would accommodate us if we wanted to change a side order, just so pleasant & friendly & food was always amazing. Was always full when we left Well i don t know what happened, After not going for a couple of years due to Covid I wanted to take my daughter for her birthday we were 4 of us. Let me tell you everything i describe at the beginning being a customer for years I can t tell you how disappointed & chocked i was after going to camps. It is certainly no longer the restaurant that i was use too , like before. Nothing was the same, I paid 50$ for 5 small bites sizes of filet mignon + a very small portion of fries that were nothing special. Not home made that s for sure I had ask if i could change the fries for pasta or something else since they had it written on the top of the page on menu she said no not possible with this choice , if that is what you want then buy it individually. I also explained that i could not eat garlic so the toping the were adding i ask to not have it because of the garlic. Server then came back to explain that there is just such a small amount that i won t taste it & ask me is it a preference not to have it or an allergy. I did not understand why she came back to tell me this. I ask no garlic. Was i going to take a change even with a tiny portion being allergic No i don t think so, Then she informed the other guest that there is a 3$ extra fee for the Cesar salad because the romaine lettuce is hard to find. Really do customers need to know this about what they can find or not to find for there menu ? IGA had 4 in a package for 2.97 this week. With every little issue, that occurred from beginning till the end i was asking myself were am I. The server saw how annoyed i was getting with out saying a word i think my face was enough to see how unhappy i was, that she sent other people to our table & let them finish with us. This is no longer the same restaurant as before, Staff is all changed with no friendly customer service meaning they don t engage like before its all about how much will they be selling at the table, very cold ambiance i certainly did not feel part of the italien family like before & i left very hungry with what i ordered as my main dish. A an expensive bill. Which was not worth it at all. & sorry i took my daughter there for her birthday They definitely lost a customer who loved this restaurant before & has been living in LaSalle for over 20 years

We the best tasting filet mignon paired with homemade cuts fries with parmigiana. This will be a staple topping for fries from now on. The service was especially friendly & you never had to ask for anything they can read your mind. We also enjoyed lemon pasta & if you ever get a chance to order it you will not be disappointed we did not want the plate to end
Thanks Campagnola
This was my 2nd time at this restaurant. This place is amazing, the food is excellent. The only thing that we can criticise is the way the food was received at the table... 1 person received his meat but the fries arrived when he was finished eating it because he didn't want his meat to be cold, ,,& the other received her potatoes & received her meat after.. ..& 2 people ordered the seafood pasta, 1 person got his & the other waited about 7 minutes later to get his. So the food did not get at the table so we could all eat together..
Overall an *above average to good* dining experience.
• The ambiance was excellent, nice décor, mood lighting etc.
• The food had unique flavouring, however all the dishes were a little heavy on the salt.
The lamb: was excellent (—better than Gibby's in Old Montreal)! [caution: salt]
The rappini: Nice firm cook, great use of garlic [caution: salt]
The tortellini Gigi: delicious sauce with bits of prosciutto [caution: salt]
Shrimp appetizer: Good garlic/better dressing, but the shrimp were stiff, possibly frozen.
Calamari: Tender, not rubbery, 2 choices of dipping sauce (tartare & cocktail), but only had rings, no tentacles which made me wonder if the supply was pre-frozen as well.
The complementary sausage was out of this world! Nicely done!
• The service was friendly & attentive
The one drawback with the service is that too many people were asking if everything was OK. Perhaps that role should be limited to the waiter & the house manager, but we had bus-boys & waiters of other tables asking us, which was starting to annoy me. In a span of a few minute I answers 3-4 times.
Positive: No request was an issue. I asked for new napkins & utensils for myself & the entire table was changed! Excellent!
Opportunity: Wine was left to us to pour. I don't think a waiter ever poured a single glass.
I give a rating of 3.5 stars or a 70% because the price was a little high for overly salty food. While the lamb was really fresh & cooked to perfection [caution: salt], the seafood & pasta did not taste like they were fresh. The prices don't reflect the food.
We had a wonderful dinner with the service being excellent as we were well looked after. We had a variety of entrees from pasta, veal to steak. All were very tasty & prepared & served in a timely manner. It was very nice to bring our own wines; the prices reflect the quality of the food you are served & we would highly recommend La Campagnola for that special dinner out.
Incredible pastas-- had the red wine & the lemon pasta incredible taste..thin crust pizza with cheese & meat served sliced
& the dessert was absolutely divine .Service fit for a king . Meals ranged about 28.00 per meal.At the end of dinner we wanted to kidnap the chief & force him to cook these great meals

What a wonderful restaurant. One of our favorites. Homemade cooking, staff goes above & beyond to make you feel welcome & part of the family. FRESH meats & fish for the specials of the day. Pizzas & pastas all delish. The owners circulate to make sure patrons are served well...which speaks volumes!
