La Buvette du Dep is a must on the Plateau Mont-Royal. True to the values of Cafés du Petit Dep, we celebrate a truly local community by collaborating with meticulous producers to bring you authentic, refined flavours.
Welcoming bar and restaurant on le Plateau - From 8am, La Buvette du Dep welcomes you with microbrewed coffees, fresh pastries and delicatessen. From 4pm, it's time for home-cooked meals, signature cocktails, local beers and wines.

Personnel très sympa !
On devait faire la file dehors puisqu'ils ne prennent pas de réservation , il pleuvait ils fournissent des immenses parapluie & breuvages chaud pour nous aider à patienter !

Very cute café, you really feel like you're in a Swiss chalet! The service is not the best, they take their time, don't go there if you're in a hurry. I can't speak for the hot chocolate or the food since I ordered a latte. It was catastrophic. I asked for a regular latte, regular coffee, regular cow milk, nothing fancy. I can assure there was no real coffee there, it tasted of yeast. Very bad.

On est venu pour la taverne de Noël. On était triste qu'il n'y avait pas de musique de Noël qui jouait :( Le service & les cocktails étaient génial cela dit!

Went at 8pm on a Tuesday, only had to wait to be seated for 10 minutes, but once seated we waited at least half an hour before a server came to our table. When food arrived it was not hot. We were only offered water after we had already finished our drinks & food. I understand it's a busy place but the quality of service was pretty bad. Won't be returning

Some of the patisseries were already sold out when we reached the place & it was still pretty early. The decoration is very cool.

Nous avons été reçu de manière froide. Installées au bar, personne nous a adressé la parole. Les 4 employés derrière le bar parlaient fort & n'avaient pas l'air productifs. Par la suite, nous avons changé de place pour aller à une table & nous sommes partis après 30 minutes sans aucun service ni regard.

Tried the chai latte & definitely did not tasted like a chai, it was basically just cold milk(mind you I ordered a hot one). Not sure if I would be back. Very overpriced for what I got.

What a great idea & great vibe!! Overall great concept but not well executed & badly organized. My party of 3 squeezed in after waiting an hour in line. Another half hour to get our order taken & an hour for the food to arrive. The servers were doing the best they could given their limited resources but everything was quite lacklustre. The food was not worth the price, the cocktails & drinks are creative & fun. This restaurant is more of a visual experience than anything. If you're planning a cute Christmas meal here, come prepared to wait with a thermos & a card game or something to keep busy.

J'ai adoré ma visite à la Taverne de Noël du Petit Dep à Montréal ! L'ambiance est vraiment féérique, parfaite pour vivre pleinement la magie de Noël en plein coeur de la ville. On a pris un chocolat chaud avec de la guimauve : un pur délice, super gourmand, riche & parfaitement préparé.
On a aussi goûté un latte au lait d'avoine avec une mousse incroyable - vraiment un des meilleurs que j'ai bus à Montréal. Le service, l'ambiance & la qualité des boissons en font une adresse incontournable.
Franchement, je recommande à 100 %. Si vous cherchez un café cosy à Montréal, une expérience hivernale magique, ou simplement un endroit chaleureux pour un bon chocolat chaud, le Petit Dep est une valeur sûre. 🎅🌟
