We ordered the King & the Queen brunch plates from the high tea menu. The bites we're all delicious, there was variety, & portions were surprisingly filling. The porcelaine was on point but not pretentious. They play a little tune when they served, it was cute. The scones were well sized & flavourful.
I went there for high tea & overall I enjoyed my experience. However, I wish the place was more vegetarian friendly. There is no vegetarian option on the menu but I asked for a vegetarian version of King in advance & they said it was no problem. Then they brought me a platter which they called vegetarian & they left without explaining in detail what it contained. I took a closer look & realized that they brought me salmon. I called the waitress & asked her if I was right thinking that this was real (non plant based) salmon. She confirmed & said that in their cafe vegetarian means'with fish' & if I don't eat fish it means I should order vegan. Eventually she brought me an egg sandwich as a replacement for the salmon, but I found it weird that vegetarianism was so misunderstood there & that the waitress framed the whole situation as me not making my dietary limitations clear. I am not planning to return because there are plenty of high tea places in Montreal that have good & truly vegetarian menus.
It's always a good time for high tea! I went with three friends for lunch last weekend & had a wonderful experience. The three-tiered tray was generous-perfect for two to share-with a nice selection of both sweet & savory treats. I paired the experience with a Jasmine tea, which was a lovely choice.
The place itself is cozy & has a warm, inviting vibe. Each time someone orders high tea, they play a charming English soundbite throughout the restaurant. The scones are a real standout-especially the feta & spinach, which were my personal favorite. The staff were friendly & attentive. Overall, it's a great option for anyone looking for a unique & delightful culinary outing!
i love this place for a cheeky tea time & their scones!! some of the best in the city 🌟i recently tried their grilled cheese + soup du jour (butternut & sundried tomato)….it made going out in the freezing wind so worth it
Although the food was tasty, the service ruined my experience. We were five people & were only suggested to take 2x the high tea towers & there was clearly not enough for the amount of people we were so we ended up placing 4 orders. With tower comes tea & scones, & when ordering the second set of towers our tea was not refilled & we had to ask for our scones, as the waiter forgot.
Wow! This place made me like tea. What a nice service, what a delicious food, & the tea was simply the highlight.
We had Rooibos & Chai tea. Roiboos was ok but the chai was not as strong as we would like it. Very very light & when we add a little milk to it it got even worst. We do not eat pork & beef - we asked if we could switch to something else - instead they replaced it by something sweet. Service for the food was a bit of a wait. We received the tea fairly quick but the food took some time to arrive. The quiche & bagel & scones were very good..The cucumber sandwich was good but the other ones with egg we did not like them - they tasted too much vinegar. A little bit deceived with the mishaps. The rest was ok.
Came here for tea & was not disappointed. Such a cute & cozy tea shop. The service is fast & they play a little song for you depending on if you got the king or queen platter. Everything was so delicious & more filling than you think. My favourites from the queen platter were the the prosciutto slider & the smoked salmon bagel. My favourite scone was the cheese one.
I also got a matcha & it was delicious. Just the right amount of sweetness.
I really recommend! Make sure to reserve as it is a small space & it gets full quick!
We took the afternoon tea deal. Everything was delicious, the place is not very big, feels more like a cute cozy tea place. If you're planning to take the same deal, I recommend the Queen's menu! The food, the scones & the teas were quite fresh & tasty. Highly recommend to come check this place out with either on a cute date or with a small group of friends.
Première expérience de Afternoon Tea à cet endroit. Nous avons aimé notre expérience même si le lieu était plus petit qu'on pensait. Les bouchées étaient plutôt bonnes.
Coffee, tea, & food are all top notch. & the vibe is incredibly cozy. One of my favourite places to read & people watch.
Visited the tea room on January 4th 2024. Food : The 3-Tiered Stands were very good, everything served to us, we enjoyed. Both stands they offer were delicious. Service : Unfortunately, the service wasn't great. We know the employees did their best, as the place was packed & they seemed to only be 3 working during the rush. The wait time to be sit, take our order & receive our food was pretty long. As other reviews mentioned it, it took 50+ minutes to receive our food, & no one came to check on us during our time at La Brume. However, in other reviews, the owner seems to deem this as a pretty common wait… if it is, we will know what to expect next time. I'm wondering what's the point of choosing our 3-Tiered Stands in advance (claiming it will reduce the wait time) when reserving for a spot if the wait is still going to be almost an hour. Also, the only interaction we had with the staff was when they took in our order, & when they brought the tea & the food. Overall, they seemed pretty overwhelmed & we don't blame the staff. We just wish they had more people scheduled to offer a better service. Atmosphere : Very packed place, but very cozy. Despite the not so great service, we still enjoyed our afternoon at La Brume Dans Mes Lunettes.
Beautiful & cozy tea experience. Variety of tea flavours & delicious desserts & sandwiches.
This was our first time at this very cozy, warm, & welcoming place for tea time, & we had a delightful time! A simple & relaxing ambiance with a long list of delicious, creative, & traditional teas (we tried a few), 8+ different flavors of excellent scones, three-tier -tier serving tray full of sweet pastries & savory sandwiches, all made in-house. It all seems very fancy but is, in fact, very affordable. We would love to return & try more types of tea very soon!
Delightful tea place!! We ordered the afternoon tea set, the scones & pastries were so fresh & delicious. The music when tea was served was a playful touch. Really love the atmosphere of that cafe, & everything just tasted so good & excellent service as well.
Attended an afternoon tea for my friend's bachelorette & the delicious scones, tea, desserts & lovely owners made for the BEST event of our bachelorette trip! I can't get over how delicious all the scones were - especially the savoury ones & the lavender white chocolate variety! Un gros merci pour la meuilleure expérience !
The waiter was so kind & made our high tea experience memorable!
