First encounter with triple a beef as an American. Amazing fusion food. Had to wait for a table in the rain tho on a busy Tuesday. Poutine Kimchee > Dac Biet. Didn't try flintstone pho but it's seems worth for the price based off of my pho Bo. Lomo Saltado unreal.
It was my first time trying an asian fusion restaurant. The food was good. I liked the poutine kimcheesy, just enough spicy. They don't have any paper menu, so must scan QR code. That might be an issue for some. The service was great. The decoration is nice. I like their wall covered with manga. At the entrance they have a cool one piece bounty collection cards. One of their bathroom doors is covered with rappers.
Asian approved 🫰🏼Came here to celebrate a birthday & everything from drinks (Tofu Fa,Kakashi) to food (Dac Biêt Poutine, Cod Amok, Drip Tonki Roch Burger, Pandan Crème Brûlée) to service (busy Friday night but still balanced between leaving us to talk vs helping us with orders) was perfect. We come from an island city where the national pastime is eating & if La Belle Tonki set up there, it would thrive. Thanks again for a great birthday date night!
Amazing spot for a funky date. The place is very cool looking with a cozy vibe. The poutine kimcheesy is absolutely delicious.
I was craving Asian food but wanted to have some quintessential "Montreal" food & this ticked all the boxes. We ordered the dac biet poutine & the mee kola. This may sound blasphemous to poutine purists but the poutine with the pho-infused gravy was hands down the best poutine we have ever had. My only regret is that the serving sizes were too large & there were only 2 of us so we weren't able to try more dishes!
I was looking forward to eating here based on the reviews. To be honest I was disappointed. We received little to no service; it took about 15min - 20min before the waitress asked for our order. & There wasn't any service from the moment we received our food until the end of our dinner. The Beef Carpaccio was really good! The flavors was fresh & tasteful. The Fish wasn't well seasoned (no salt or pepper) the sauce was really bland. The rolls were decent. The kimchi poutine was ok but not enough to rave about considering we took it based on the reviews . Total cost : 77$ + tip
Beau vendredi soir d'été. L'endroit est pas mal bondé. Belle ambiance.
Such a wonderful place with great food & nice people running the restaurant. Poutine Kimcheesy & the Burger Drip Tonki Roch were particular standouts. Very busy ! even on a rainy Wednesday night so there may be a bit of a wait.
I would come again, food were good & decent price, (I am not a fan of poutine but the kimchi poutine is amazing) staff were friendly, a happy customer indeed 😃
What an amazing specimen of food. I absolutely would not just recommend eating here, but I can't wait to visit Montreal again to be able to go back. The flavors of all of the dishes were fantastic. We were part of a very large group & the servers seemed to have a difficult time adjusting to a big group (60) but it at no time deterred me from wanting ti go back. The carpaccio, kimcheesy poutine, & eggplant miso were the stars of their menu. Their cocktails were great too. Definitely looking forwforward to returning!
Saw this spot trending all over social media & it was definitely worth the hype. We ordered the pho & based off the chef's recommendations we also got the kimchi poutine, tonki burger, & carpaccio. Despite initial skepticism about the blend of flavors, each dish surprised us with its explosion of taste & harmonious blend of cultures. The service was lightning-fast, & the staff's kindness & attentiveness added to the experience. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking to try something new & unique.
Good modern asian fusion (asia + qc wink wink poutine wink wink cheese curd wink wink burgers) Service is great, although best fitted for younger people. I recommend the poutine keemcheesy. The cheesy ramen was good, but too spicy unfortunately (& I'm usually a fan of spiciness)
