After watching a movie, we went to Royalmount to walk around & decided to have dinner there.
We asked to see the menu first, & the lady welcomed us warmly. What I appreciated from the beginning was that she didn't put any pressure on us to decide whether we wanted to eat there or not. We eventually chose to sit inside.
The atmosphere was warm, the decoration was beautiful, & the music was at just the right volume-not too loud & not too quiet. The service was attentive throughout our meal. It never felt like,'Here are your dishes, now finish, pay, & leave.' Even when our napkins ran out, they noticed it themselves & brought us more without us having to ask.
The portions were fair, the fries were fresh & tender, & the burgers were juicy with their own unique flavors. Even the dessert from the kids' meal was served with a nice presentation, which was a lovely touch.
Overall, it was a great experience. The only bad news for them is that they have now set my expectations very high for the next visit! 😄

Après avoir regardé un film, nous sommes allés nous promener au Royalmount & nous avons finalement décidé d'y souper.
Nous avons d'abord demandé à voir le menu, & la dame nous a accueillis très chaleureusement. Ce que j'ai apprécié dès le début, c'est qu'elle ne nous a mis aucune pression pour décider si nous voulions manger là ou non. Finalement, nous avons choisi de nous installer à l'intérieur.
L'ambiance était chaleureuse, la décoration très agréable & le volume de la musique était parfait : ni trop fort, ni trop bas. Le service était attentionné pendant tout le repas. On n'avait jamais l'impression de « voici vos plats, mangez, payez & partez ». Même lorsque nous n'avions plus de serviettes de table, ils l'ont remarqué & nous en ont apporté sans qu'on ait besoin de demander.
Les portions étaient correctes, les frites fraîches & tendres, & les burgers étaient juteux avec des saveurs originales. Même le dessert du menu pour enfant était présenté avec soin, un petit détail que nous avons beaucoup apprécié.
Dans l'ensemble, c'était une très belle expérience. La seule mauvaise nouvelle pour eux, c'est que maintenant, mes attentes sont très élevées pour notre prochaine visite ! 😄
Très Belle experience. Si vous allez un vendredi soir ne soyer pas presser. 45 minute avant de ce faire offrire quelques chose a boire. MAIS !! Une fois la serveuse arrivée toute a ete rapidement. & cetai excellent.
Great food, great atmosphere, & amazing service! Such a fun spot to grab a drink, enjoy a good meal, & watch the game. The staff is friendly & the vibe is always on point. Definitely recommend checking it out!
We have been doing road trips across Canada. This time we visited Quebec. I am very impressed by the level of service english visitors are given. We parked our car at a hotel & head down to this place. We've been to other places in Quebec & got some terrible experiences. Definitely recommending this place to chill & enjoy a beer.
don't even know where to start. As you can see on my profile, I've never left a Google review before because I've never really felt the need to.
Last night was different. It's rare that I get to go out with my wife because we have two young kids & need to find someone to watch them, so when we finally get a night out together, we really look forward to it.
We started off with a fishbowl for my wife. They brought the drink but forgot the straw, & even after multiple requests, it took about 20 minutes to finally get one. The appetizer was actually good, even though they initially messed up the order.
Then came the ribs.
I'm honestly not a picky person, but the ribs were absolutely disgusting. I asked for someone to come take a look at them, & right away the whole team agreed that the ribs I was served looked like they came out of a beef jerky package with rib sauce poured over them. They looked nothing like what you would expect from ribs, & they tasted horrible.
It completely turned me off from eating for the rest of the night. I also ordered a half rack, but they brought me a full rack. Then, 30 minutes into waiting, they came back to confirm my order. At that point, I honestly felt bad for the waitress because she seemed to be dealing with a lot, so I still gave her a nice tip.
As for the restaurant, though, it was a complete failure.
I ended up telling them to forget the drinks I had ordered because I didn't want to wait another 30 minutes. I left to grab a beer instead, & there was no attempt to offer any kind of solution or even a discount on the bill.
& now, the next morning, I've been going to the bathroom nonstop after eating only a couple bites of those ribs.
I'm not someone who likes leaving negative reviews, but when you finally get a rare night out with your wife & this is how the experience goes, it's hard not to say something.
Si vous venez a l'heure du lunch un vendredi, attendez vous d'attendre très longtemps... Il y avait UNE serveuse pour tout le restaurant. Ça ne fait pas de sens. Ici depuis 40 minutes & toujours pas reçu mon repas (juste la soupe du menu midi). J'ai demandé au tout début à la serveuse de payer à l'avance, elle m'a dit qu'elle a 4 autres tables a faire payer. 40 minjtesrolus tard, toujours pas de bouffe, pas de payage! Ne venez pas si vous avez une heure de lunch :(
