L'Oeufrier (NDG) totally blew me away. You walk in & right away it just feels good-super warm, welcoming energy. The staff? Amazing. So friendly, you can tell it's a family-run place where people actually care. None of that fake hospitality-just real kindness & good vibes.
T
he food. Absolutely hit the spot. That plate had everything-crispy bacon, juicy sausage, perfect sunny-side-up eggs, & those potatoes? Unreal. But the real showstopper was that Nutella crepe with the strawberry on top-looked amazing, tasted even better. It's the kind of meal that makes you stop mid-bite & go,'okay… this is really good.'
Everything was fresh, hot, & made with love. You can tell they take pride in what they do, & it shows in every bite.View more
It is too bad that the service doesn't meet the quality of the food served. Great breakfast choices (the egg & potato tati is a personal favorite). The service is extremely slow, however, whether it is getting your first cup of coffee at the beginning of your meal or waiting & waiting & waiting for your bill at the end. The servers don't seem to care very much about any of these delays as well. It will be a long time before we return to this restaurant. Too badView more
Second time in so I have given it a chance Its a breakfast place, so Saturday & Sunday are their prime time game on moments. The service is ok but the kitchen is way behind. I ordered 2 eggs over easy , bacon brown toast....pretty simple order ...my son ordered scrambled eggs & pancakes. Our orders show up...my plate is scrambled eggs sausage, white toast...my sons order had no pancakes....it took 45 minutes to get a wrong order !!. When I went to the counter it was mass confusion from kitchen. Orders all screwed up . I turned my order down , my teenage son took his but at this point we were late & had to leave so he had a few bites. Waitress staff are trying but kitchen is clearly the problem. As I mentioned 2nd time there & last time. There are just so many better options. Orange Cafe on Decarie & Chez Nick on Greene ave to name but a few. Probably during the weekdays when its quiet they can handle it but on a weekend forget it. Two stars is a fair grade ...the kitchen & management need to fix the issues .View more
It's very cozy, easily accessible with public transport, has lovely & friendly staff, & the best egg benedicts of the city. I also tried their guacamole toast & I'm totally a fan!View more
Eggs were cold. Potatoes were soaked in oil - likely don't have their deep frier oil hot enough. Bacon was not good. It was likely cooked too soon & left to be reheated. The crepe was good. The service was good. The air vent was set to cool over the tables.View more
