Depuis l'ouverture de son premier restaurant en 1984, L'Académie s'est bâtie au fil des ans une personnalité unique. Notre raison d'être est d'offrir une nourriture de qualité à prix raisonnable dans un cadre amical. We were a party of 6. I had dined in the past at the other locations which the food & service were excellent. However today this location in pointe claire left much, much to be desired. We ordered 3 salads. 2 Ceasars & one Arugula. The Arugula we sent back as the leaves were yellow & going dry. The lasagna we ordered was unedible. Was cold in the center the cheese had curds & the egg had a very strong odour. The seafood pasta was also very bad. That too we didn't eat. The rest of the dishes were also poor quality.The Cesar's dressing was not up to par. We reserved for 3pm. We got our food around 4:15. Seems the staff was busy with other chores. We paid our bill in full & left. Very disappointed really. The waiter asked us if everything was to our satisfaction. We raised our complaints. He saw that we hadn't eaten most of the dishes. He then asked us if we wanted to take them with us....Voir plus

The Calimar was like rubber they probably microwaved it instead of frying it I had spaghetti with meat sauce literally no taste to it. I was cold ordered coffee it was disgusting & old we sent it back to get fresh coffee.Voir plus

L'ambiance était chaleureuse, la nourriture était excellente ! La serveuse nous a offert un service impeccable. On reçoit du petit pain chaud avec du beurre en attendant nos plats. Nous avons pris les calamars frits eb entrée (délicieux), un tartare de saumon & des pâtes au canard confit avec une tarte au citron en dessert. Les portions sont généreuses ! Normally we go as a small group during the week, but this time we were a larger group on a Saturday, & the noise level where we were seated was deafening. It was almost impossible to carry on a conversation with those at the end of the table. Otherwise, the food & the service were good.Voir plus

Les chaises & les menus étaient sales & le service médiocre. Nous avons dû redemander de l'eau plusieurs fois, nous avons attendu de longues minutes après notre serveuse pour chaque étape & nous n'avons même pas eu un sourire. Nice ambiance. Went with a group. The meal that I had was just okay. The Calamari was very good. Service was pretty good as well, however the waitress should have come to check on us instead of us always having to wave her over. Nice place for groups. We were seven Update; Went back for a birthday party this weekend which was very nice! However the food was terrible!!!! I ordered the calamari which I had had a positive experience before & it was so salty as to make it inedible. The server asked if I wanted to reorder & then informed me that it would probably be the same so advised that I order something else. The person beside me (my son)had the same problem with his food which was highly over salted & had to be sent back. We both ended up ordering Rib steaks. I ordered medium which came as requested. My son ordered well done which came medium. He didn't want to complain so ate it. I was quite disappointed because the steaks came with 2 VERY small roasted potatoes, 2 roasted Brussel sprouts ,& a very small portion of bland squash. My bill with tax & tip came to 175$ which I wouldn't have minded paying if the food was acceptable (which it was not) I did leave a good tip for the server as he was very pleasant, accommodating & apologetic & it wasn't his fault. He was a very good server. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. They should have at least gave a complimentary coffee for the inconvenience. Very disappointed ☹️Voir plus
