Kyodai Izakaya offre une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale avec une décoration japonaise authentique qui transporte dans l'esprit d'un izakaya et favorise les soirées entre amis ou en couple. Le menu propose une grande variété de tapas japonais et de plats généreusement préparés comme ramen, curry katsu, gyoza, takoyaki, tempura, karaage, unagi et sashimi, avec des saveurs authentiques et des présentations soignées. Le service est globalement attentif et accueillant, les recommandations sont utiles et les portions ainsi que la carte des boissons, des sakés et des cocktails complètent parfaitement l'expérience. L'ambiance est dynamique mais chaleureuse, le cadre et la musique renforcent l'expérience et l'endroit est souvent recommandé pour découvrir une cuisine japonaise authentique à Montréal, avec des réservations conseillées lors des heures d'affluence.
On est allés au Kyodai pour notre anniversaire de mariage & avons adoré. D'abord l'endroit est super, une deco décontractée & originale avec plein d'accents japonais & Anime. Magique! Ensuite le personnel sont si gentils, professionnels, drôles. Nous avons été servis par Yuyun, une jeune femme d'origine taïwanaise qui nous a si bien accueillis & servi. Les plats étaient si bon: les classiques de taverne japonaise (Takoyaki, Karaage, sashimis, crêpe japonaise, tataki ...). Je recommande vivement cet endroit!!!
Food is amazing, I am a regular client ordering & went there to eat the place & it was really pleasant, staff is really nice, nice decoration & food good as always, super recommend.
Absolutely delighted with Kyodai Izakaya. What a fabulous & inventive meal. Worked our way through the appetizers & one of the mains, the Unagi on Rice, was beyond delicious. Highly recommend. Service was spectacular. Didn't even bother with the menu.Eddie was the perfect host & went with what he loved. He was right. Everything was simply grand.
This is a must-visit for authentic Japanese cuisine. The cozy atmosphere, delicious dishes like sashimi & yakitori, & a great selection of sake make it a standout. Friendly & attentive service adds to the overall excellent experience. Highly recommended!

Our first stop on our Montreal trip, service was superb, atmosphere is a vibe , food was astounding. Will definitely 100% recommend this place ! Curry chicken Katsu & the chicken karaage were our favourites ❤️🔥
Just went there tonight to celebrate, it felt like we time traveled to a whole new place. If you want a place that carries the ambiance of Japan this is my absolute go to. Definitely recommend this for everyome.
We loved everything, staff was friendly, service was quick, food was delicious. We ordered tempura crevette for entree which was delicious & curry chicken katsu & main dish & wow, tasty tasty tasty. Recommend it.
Every other week I find myself at this amazing restaurant! The food is amazing;I recommend their noodle dishes, & the drinks are great too. The atmosphere is very rustic & cozy; a perfect spot for a date or a night for some drinks & good food.
Incredible food, & tremendously kind service. We will definitely return. Thank you! (Will not recommend the Ramens , strongly recommend the Curry rices）

Nous avons décidé de rentrer & d'essayer le restaurant étant donné qu'il y avait une liste d'attente dans celui à côté. À notre surprise, l'ambiance est très chaleureuse, idéale pour une soirée de couple. De bonnes portions & un très bon service. Le décor est beau avec assez de gens un samedi soir sans trop être débordé. Je recommande
The service was very good they always checked up on me & recommended me the best foods on the menu. The waiter with long hair was very nice to us & took great care of our table. Would definitely recommend the cocktails! I'm definitely coming back &/or going to be a regular here.
The food was amazing! The service of the staff was great , they came from time to time to check if there was anything missing. I'm willing to revisit ! I recommend this place !!
I was super happy to hear that Tempura Kyodai is back after closing for a while with a change in the management (apparently?). So I went with my family for a Saturday dinner. Honestly, we were disappointed.
First, the menu shrank by a lot. In the main dishes, all the rice bowls disappeared leaving only the hot udons & the curry rice. There are a lot of appeatizers (tapas style). With an increase in the prices too.
For the food, it's not as good as before. It's ok, I can eat it but I can go anywhere for this generic taste. The ebi tempuras were my favorite so I ordered them again, it was my biggest disappointment. Sure, it was crunchy but so oily. There is not this elegance that was previously in the dishes.
Plus, as there were customers, the cooks in the kitchen kept bashing, I suppose the chicken or pork, for almost 30 minutes...
Anyways, tempura kyodai is not what it once was.

Tempura Kyodai is a cute restaurant with great atmosphere & excellent food & service.
Let's start with their specialty, the tempuras. They were excellent. I truly recommend the Ebi tendon which is a bowl of tempura featuring fried shrimps & veggies on rice.
The soft shelled crab curry is up there too. It's the best Japanese curry I have eaten. It's not too sweet & the spices is pronounced enough.
Then, there is the Soba. It's a simple dish, but it's done right. It's very elegant & light, perfect for summer time. The flavours are really balanced here.
The last but not least, the mackerel udon. During winter, who can resist it? The broth is light but so complex. The udon are thin but chewy. & the grilled mackerel complement it well.
Other than main dishes, they have appetizers & specials of the day. Like the Ebi tempura or the monk fish liver. All are delicious.
Overall, Tempura Kyodai deserve their name. Everything was delicious & it's not expensive. You get a huge main for around 20$ or less.
